I took this picture a few days ago. They are growing pretty slowly but I also neglect them - I finally just got a sprinkler!
I have no idea what is in the pot, it's tobacco, just don't know what kind. The plants in the ground starting from the bottom up: Tennessee TN90, Black Sea Samsun & Little Crittenden.

You look like you're off to a good start. What variety are they? (virginia, burley,...?)

My plants are Black stalk Mammoth and Virginia Gold.I still have twelve plants that I need to put in the ground.I'm really thinking about plowing the whole yard under this fall for a real tobacco field next season. No grass to mow just a yard of tobacco.

That was Miracle Grow potting mix with some perlite added. It's nice and chunky.

I'll have to snap some pics of mine tomorrow. Not all the varieties seem to be doing well (I started with 4), but a couple are really coming up now that they're outside and all.

Looking good snuff... I suggest seperating them out at that stage. I transplanted them to styrofoam cups with some holes cut in the bottom. Then in a couple weeks(?) they'll be big enough to go into your garden.
