Mine started to sprout today after four and a half days stuffed in a closet under a light along with a space heater set to 72 degrees. I hope mine can make it where yours are now.

My DelGold seeds showed up Thursday.

I sterilized some soil in the crockpot.

I seeded the sterilized soil.

I used a 12 egg carton, and 18 egg carton, and a pyrex dish, divided into 20 sections.

I wetted the end of a toothpick to pick up as few seeds as possiible, and seeded each section. I left the tootpick in each section to mark it as done and also incase I still had any stragglers left attached to the toothpick.

It's right next to a window along with a flourescent grow light about 5-6 inches above.

My DelGold seeds started sprouting yesterday (3/30) 4 days after planting. 8)

I set out a starter tray in the garage about 8-9 days ago as the weather here in SoCal had turned quite nice. I even had my AC going for a few days.

BUT, since the day of seeding... it has been cold in the mornings (34-40F) and the daytime highs have been less than 70F.

Needless to say... nothings growing yet.
I will wait til next weekend and if still nothing, I will get another batch of seeds and re-seed the tray.

Here's a photo taken today. Since I am trying to grow my TN90 hydroponically (is that a word?), I had to splurge and buy a new system, just for this plant! The largest leaf is about the size of a football.

I just started some seeds about 4 days ago. I got a late start because I had to move. The growing season is almost year round here so I'm not too worried. The biggest problem I will have will be getting the plants to dry after harvesting due to the high humidity on the coast.

Anyways, they are starting to sprout!
