This is so much better than that Cotton Ball Twist that came from the States.

Abraxas snuff do it quite well, they only produce on a small scale, its one bloke called Nigel, the snuff is insanely good! Looking forward to the sample turning up, the trade unionists who deliver our post decided it was too snowy to deliver the post since Thursday so I will have to wait until I can experience some proper cottage industry tobacco

Surely the drier the tobacco is the less the TSNAs will change for better or for worse.

Thanks for the nice words - I think the coffee one is amazing - but a bit lethal.

I don't think I can sell it easily. It's chew not snuff. There is excise duty on chewing tobacco.

Also - I don't have the time nor the desire to begin a new business at the present time (that may change when accordion playing becomes unfashionable ;-) - what I was hoping for was to show that it is possible in the UK to stick two fingers up to the EU and make something from scratch that you could use in the place of snus.

You have to remember that last year was possibly the worst summer in living history in England. None of the big leaf tobacco ripened until october. But despite that - it was actually a relatively easy procedure even though I lost over half my crop to mould. Even then it's not that hard a job to make twists.

Ansel - I would make a youtube - but it would have to be next year as I've processed all my leaves now. I will try and get some sort of record of next year's grow recorded so I can pass it on and show that it's not a freaky thing to do.

            Cheers

Had a busy end of 2012 finishing out the books for the business, getting ready for 2013, some projects around the house, and various other things that transpired. Been a while since I've been in the snus world. Thought I'd pop in and say hello. Hope you all had a happy holidays!

Oh, and not to seem like a suckup, but I'm not a fan of licorice snus but love Oden's Lakrits White Dry. Mmmm.

When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I'm gonna have to cut down on how much of this I put in my mouth. Just stuck one in, had to take it out and it was still kicking my ass 5 minutes later. I can only describe the intensity of feeling as like having an extremely hot curry. This is ten times stronger than any snus.

I don't get it that bad - but yes it is stronger than snus. These coffee ones were made from Rustica (I found the notebook that reminded me what I did with both kinds of twists). It's kind of nice to get that nic hit again - but it can only end in tolerance which would spoil enjoyment of snus - so maybe it's just as well that you can't get a regular supply!

I tend to use it for a much shorter time than snus.

                            Cheers

Well it's good to see you again Chad. I hope you had a good Winterval - whatever it's called, I hope you had a good one and a healthy and prosperous new "standardized 365 day period".

That SJ twist has a really natural flavour.
