I keep hearing about snus made for American taste. What exactly is American taste?

If we like real Swedish snus, are we a minority?

I'd bet anything we are. I'd also bet, that "american tastes" probably mean a different set of flavorings, possibly some sugar.

Regardless, I'm curious about this too.

I'd say the guide of "American tastes" is based on popular US dip flavors. I personally don't care for them.

Have you tried Triumph Original? It has a fruity and somewhat sweet taste. Some claim it tastes similar to Red Man chew. However, the flavor is just too much for me. I prefer a bitter, balanced tasting snus.

I think the Triumph Original tastes like Southern Comfort, sans alcohol. It's got the peachy tones, and sweetness of Southern Comfort.

"American Tastes" actually refers to ones opinion as to what Americans would like. That being mostly on the sweet side, when speaking of snus. Its simply more of a catch phrase that really caught on.
