That was a cool link Lucky! I've always been a sucker for old brand logos and designs.

thanks people. you just made me spatter my screen with that mouthful of beer i had...

that label is a nightmarish atrocity, something a circus clown would pull out of their pocket. in a steven king movie.

I like the current label. Ok, it's a little gay, but most of us guys need to add some color to our lives. Plus it's really easy to accessorize, and REALLY easy to line the label back up.

Well, at the very least the tin would be a bit easier to find if you lost it.

The graphics kind of match the taste, in a way.... :P

I'm with TBD, I really like the new design.

But I like color. Have tripped on acid at lest 40 times in my life, even did 13 hits once. What can I say??

I think the older cans look better, but I'm not going to let a can that resembles a bowl of Fruity Pebbles keep me from my precious RL.
I would also like to see a RL Original Portion.

For all those that think that Roda Lacket wasn't gay enough:

This was a special "gay pride" snus that Swedish Match designed for some festival. They also did special gay Goteborg Rape and Ettan cans.

                      Hi guys,

Röda Lacket white portion changes design every year and will do so again sometime after the summer. It has been this way for the last 4 years.

There has never been a pride version of Ettan nor Göteborgs Rapé.

It is much appreciated, given that homosexuality!=bestiality & assuming that we non-heteros are equally welcome here at Snuson as heteros are.

On the other hand, if you are REALLY hetero, why the hell aren't you using RL los? Although I happen to be queer as a 3 dollar bill, even I keep returning to the RL los.

(/me make note to order RL portion tin to take out to queer bar on weekends and various upcoming Gay Pride events for the rest of the year. /me also make note to inform my gay friends that Swedish Match is gay friendly company. My opinons of Swedish Match are even higher than before, now that I know they do not discriminate in their marketing.)

What company isn't gay friendly anymore? Isn't it pretty much against the law to not have a token gay theme running through everything? "Gay Friendly" is just another term that means "riding the media wave that started with Queer Eye For The Straight Guy". Like it or not, Snupy, you gay folks are a hot commodity now. It's kind of like how black people became "en vogue" in the seventies and eighties and every fast food chain ad featured young black men breakdancing around hamburgers or filling token roles on television shows, no matter how preposterous the setting. It could be a sitcom about NASA astronauts set during the early 60's, but you can guarantee that if it was filmed in 1981 you were sure to see a trash-talkin' black youth to provide comedic effect.

But just for the record, European tobacco companies have aggressively marketed their wares to homosexuals for years. BAT had a hit with their lesbo-friendly Lucky Strike ads that featured two hot chicks making out. Phillip Morris had a hit with an ad campaign highly evocative of Brokeback Mountain. F&L had an ad that featured two very gay Nordic men holding hands in front of a valley. The list could go on and on, but you can rest assured that if you're using a Euro tobacco brand, you're doing your part to ensure that the companies will continue to market their wares to your segment, no matter what group you belong to.

I thought it all began when business realized double income households with (often) no kids=huge profit potential.

                            In some quarters.

That European attitude towards sexuality in general is drastically different that here in the US, but then, Europe wasn't founded by the Puritans as was the case with the US.

I'll refrain from the gay = fruity joke here.......

I don't like the design because it reminds me of the late 80s and early 90s. Hello backwards clothes and slap bracelets. I'm glad to see a company support LGBT events. BTW IMO it was en vogue earlier in the decade, now it is about equality.

Roda is a fruity snus, the colours are almost appropriate, they do justice to the fruit flavours can't take that away from them
