I ordered a roll of General portion on Thursday. As of 10 minutes ago the order is still pending. I'm gonna be pissed if it doesn't ship until after PACT goes into effect.

I reckon you have about a week yet for PACT

but only a day for FDA.

I must be remembering my days wrong. I thought PACT goes into effect this Wednesday. If it's not until next week I won't worry too much. I've got enough to tide me over until then.

FDA bullshit on Wednesday and PACT 1 week = June 29th/30ish... I reckon.

Until June 30, 2010 delivery of tobacco products by the US Postal Service is legal and the most cost effective method of shipment; so SSO will continue to use it. After June 30, 2010 other shipment delivery systems will be utilized; which means shipping fees that are included in the price of our products may increase.

...some tobacco internet sales outlets have completely shut down and removed their sites. Several others, including some on the reservations in NY, have posted dates to shut down completely; while others are not informing their customers of anything and will just go away when they can no longer ship through the USPS. Most we’ve been in contact with admit that the combination of the new “sales reporting” & Federal enforcement policies combined with the loss of the US Postal Service tobacco product delivery issue is just too overwhelming to endure.

The FDA is 22 June - 1 year from last 22 June.

Well, after posting this yesterday, I check my order status again today and it's listed as shipping on the 18th, so now I don't know what to think. I guess I'll see it when I see it.

We will be forced to put our new site(s) online tomorrow (Wednesday). What that means is basically this:

1) We still have lots of non-FDA submitted snus in the US warehouse. We have until July 31st to sell that. After that, we can't sell anything but the FDA-submitted brands (there are many threads about that already).

2) We will add state taxes to all orders. However, you will find some snus brands costing apprx the same as today while others will increase in price.

3) We will add sales tax to orders to PA and KY. No other states will be effected by sales tax.

4) We will ship via UPS on all orders placed after 1:00 PM CET.

5) We will most probably have some down time while we perform these updates to the system.

6) All backorders will be fullfilled as ordered.
