We'll cover all that bases and maybe we'll find out something.
My guess is either a glitch in the system ....................or they found body parts in a tin........................but then again I'm just having that sort of day.

I may have been one of the last to get a can of LD from Northerner, then. My order was shipped on the 2nd, and the online invoice says all items ordered were shipped, including the LD. Of course, I haven't received the package yet.
Sorry guys but we are unable to ship LD and Gustavus to the US because of the coming Pact Act (29th of June) and new FDA regulation (22nd of June). JTI lawyer sent us a letter this last Friday telling us to stop all shipments of their brands to the US. I can't understand why because I sent them information that we are following both the FDA and Pact Act... We are dissapointed and don't understand why :-(
Seems to be the very over reaction resulting in over compliance that has been a great fear of ours on the forum
However, there could be some other tie that the company has that causes this restriction (for example if any of their product involves manufacturing in the USA that might cause a problem with non compliance and then selling back here via over seas sites)
But truth be told..............I have no idea

I'm not sure it's an overreaction. More likely just a standard risk assessment. If their brands weren't selling all that well in the US to begin with, it would be entirely sensible for JTI to decide that cutting off US sales represented a much smaller loss of profit than taking the risk of being hauled into court or an arbitration hearing, which can get very expensive very fast. Disappointing for us, yes, but you can't blame the manufacturer for doing what they perceive to be in their best interest.
If you thought cash for clunkers was the ultimate waste of taxpayer money, you were too optimistic. Thanks to the federal tax credit to buy high-mileage...
