Yeah, it may not make too much sense, but there is so much difference between EU regulations and American (soon to be) restrictions. And one has to enforce taxes on products sold in the US, which I assume is correct since it's shipping from a US warehouse. I don't know if there is a different if the transactions are processed via Sweden or the USA, but if the US warehouse is set up seperately from the Swedish warehouse, it may be a way to keep seperate the transactions and enforce taxed purchases to comply with PACT/tobacco shipping.

I'm not too happy about this. Prices for one. They have already gone up, and will go up more. I like choices. I do like the benefit of having more selection, but still no LD (which I know is not Northerner's fault) I liked the samplers. I was gonna order a black on black Friday, but now it's gone. 3 cans of Grov Black was perfect for me, and now I know I will never buy them separately. I liked the seasonal samplers as well. The mystery can. I liked getting a can of General Wintergreen for free once in awhile, I don't like it enough to pay for a can though. That's my two cents on all of this. Let the record show that I have never had any issues with Northerner, I think their customer service were good, hell just last week, they sent me an email telling me that they were out of Claq and asked what I wanted in place of. I was wondering how my Nick and Johnny Black got to me so fast, it came from Get Northerner!

Removable lid must be returned! We should have been told that they would switch to northerner rather than say waking up and finding out on snuson. Other than that I'm fine with the switch. Edit I take that back what happened to half rolls.

So, who got the last GetSnus Snus?

I have in my hot little hands 21 cans of GetSnus snus delivered 30 minutes ago.

I just got my black on black yesterday along with a free can of Grov White. I haven't recieved a bad bonus can in a long time. People bitch about getting nothing but mini mints and wintergreen, but I've been getting stuff like Ettan, Grov, and even freaking Onyx. That, I'm gonna miss. Having said that, I haven't been ordering very much from getsnus recently compared to Notherner. I bought a roll of General White, and a couple black on black to stock up on Grov and Onyx. Of course, the only real thing I've been buying is LD White which STILL isn't listed on getsnus. At least they have Tre now though.

I had no problems with prices. Remember, prices were going to go up even without PACT or the takeover by Frederick. I'm glad he did it ahead of time, this is the Post-Era PACT pricing scheme, you can go ahead and get used to it I suppose. Of course, you will be able to get somewhat cheaper prices for a month and a half, but until these other sites get a US warehouse, Frederick is the place to go. I ordered from him and actually got the same deals that you will find everywhere else. As everyone noted, GetSnus.com was only cheap to get American interest. PACT has now turned something that purpose into an impossibility. This is now a practical thing, and I'm okay with it. I'll get my snus, a much larger variety too! Delicious ONYX (which I have in right now!) and Extra Sterk, and Skruf, and whatever else I can get. Plus Roda Lacket Claq Qui (last batch ) and all these varieties. Shop around for bargains while you can, but I think Frederick is in it for the long haul. He will be here for us, GetSnus.com may not have (at least not with those steals of bargains they had) survived. Swedish Match sold him the site, that's a hell of an endorsement if you ask me. I wonder what fellow snusers will say.

And to the guy who is raging over the backorders...remember, just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't in the records of that site. It is, and you will get your snus...if only a few days late. It's for a good cause, I promise. Snus for the post-PAKT (a play on communist words) Amerika (another one!).

P.S. My bonus can was Ettan. It is definitely better now that I appreciate the delicate pure tobacco notes. I love it. Can't wait for my Icetool (though the Prismaster is doing okay for now, I like the aesthetics and long term hold up potential in stainless steel much more than plastic). Then my Roda Lacket los and the General los and the Skruf Xtra Stark los and MAN! I can't wait!

I don't think Swedish Match wanted to get in the business of selling directly to the public so it makes sense they would sell it. I do wish the market was a little more diversified with more distributors but I am glad to see Frank being rewarded for all his hard work.

So where can I go to order Snus in the US? They have my order backordered, and I would rather not use Getsnus or Northerner. This was a very bad way to take over a company. I can't even call them to cancel my backorder to order something else!

Is there any other website that I can order from and get fast shipping? Getsnus would arrive via USPS three days after I ordered it.

Why won't you use Northerner?? They ship 95% of their snus form their US warehouse now and shipping times are identical to Getsnus (both warehouses in PA). You want snus shipped fast, that is your only option. You can order from Buysnus, which is who I will only use now (just particular, want to buy my snus from a Swedish company not under the control of the FDA), but that will take about a week to get to you.

Only other option now is to try and buy locally. You can go here and see what may be available. Once you have entered your birth day, click on "where to buy". but understand, as of today, the ONLY snus available in retail shops is about 5 or 6 kinds of General, nothing else. I am expecting that to change eventually, but not yet.

So again, if you are desperate for snus, use Northerner. And welcome again to Snuson.

Eh, I wouldn't say that Northerner is for those desperate for snus. The only one I was desperate for was the final last cans of Roda Lacket Claq Qui, but if you've tried it, you can understand why. I went to BuySnus.com to get that special order, but not for much else. For my tastes, I can use Frederick for just about anything. But my relationship with Claq Qui is something special. I am very upset that they discontinued it. The dried fruit/raisin-y taste was unique in a sterk, and the slow and smooth buildup of nicotine is unique also. What I will be doing now is using the larger Icetool (4ml instead of 3ml) to pack a larger pris of regular Roda Lacket los. That should do the trick. Roda Lacket is special to me as it was the first sterk outside of Onxy that I tried. DELICIOUS the term I have for it. Like a desert snus almost, if that makes sense.

However, I would say that desperation is getting to a local store that only sells General. You are shut out from so many great brands: Ettan, GrovSnus (AMAZING), Roda Lacket, Thunder, the E.S. General, los versions of anything, and the dozens of other brands out there. And welcome jt807, glad to see you here on the forums!

Try BuySnus.com or something of the sort for now, but grow accustomed to Frederick. If you are in the states, he is going to be your hookup until they amend/repeal this terrible PACT act. Remember too that it isn't just snus vendors/users that are suffering, they are killing of thousands of jobs at local Native American reservations which they should be entitled to have, especially after how our forefathers treated them. A very bad law indeed. That's what misinformation and ignorance does.

And man, I forgot just how amazing Onyx is, I've had this in for an hour and man, it is perfect. I think after this though, I will pop in a decent sized prilla of General Ekstra Sterk los to push me through this paper I have to write.

Wow! Surprise! Surprise! I don't mind the news personally. I do think more vendors would be best for us customers due to competition but I like Northerner and have no reason to be upset about this deal.
