The reason for Indiana's prohibition is that the state other tobacco tax (24% of cost) is not collected from either the purchaser or the manufacturer. Indiana law states that Indiana tobacco tax must be paid on any tobacco product brought into the state.

    Indiana Prohibition?

This was brought up in another thread, but I didn't see an answer to my question:

I don't know anything about the other states, but I combed Indiana's state code, and couldn't find anything that would justify this prohibition. The only regulations on delivery of tobacco apply to cigarettes exclusively.

Does anyone have any more information about this? I've been ordering from buysnus.com since they don't seem to mind shipping (quickly!) to IN, but I'm curious whether there is actually some code violation my untrained legal mind hasn't discovered.

On an unrelated note, I'm looking forward to some Nick & Johnny, General Onyx, and Skruf stark original portions in the next day or two.
