How long to wait on northerner order?

I always thought it was Royal Mail in the UK that was the problem. Seems like it could in fact be Swiss Post.

For us it's usually Customs that causes the holdup. The shipment gets to New York, then just sits there. And it's not just snus, but an entire shipment of mail will get delayed, regardless of the contents.

No, for us, these new delays are all Swiss Post. Easy to prove. Do an order the same day from both Buysnus and Northerner. BOTH have to go through customs, but the Buysnsis order will arrive anywhere from 4 -8 days earlier. Only difference...Buysnus still uses Swedish Post.

Tristik, it's gotta be at least 6 months now since Northerner made that switch.

This does seem to be the usual case, but a couple of weeks ago I received an order I placed at Northerner, Swiss post, Swedish warehouse, one day before one placed the same day at Buysnus. Six days for the Northerner, seven for the Buysnus order. I was pleasantly surprised. They were similar orders, but I wish they had been identical. This may be simply the exception that proves the rule. Maybe Swiss Post was just having an unusually good week.

Does anyone know why they switched postal services? I heard very little to no complaints before, but when they switched postal carriers, it seems like there have been a lot more "where is it" posts about their shipping times.

They switched to cheaper Swiss Post about the same time they raised their snus prices.

I was just over at Northerner and looked under pre-order section. It said that Gotländskt Julesnus, Portion and Loose wouldn't be available until 11/16. That is a big difference from 1-3 days shipping it mentioned on the order form.

Now I really wish Getsnus wasn't out of the Offroad Limited. I am down to one can of Lucky Strike, General White, Camel White, and 3 cans of General Wintergreen.

I'm not sure when they switched over but I've noticed my last couple of orders have taken a lot longer than usual. Use to take 5 or 6 days to my mailbox. Now it seems to take forever.

I'm waiting on an order right now. I'm loyal to Northerner though, so I guess I'll just start ordering earlier.

Well order arrived today and with something unexpected. They through in a tin of nj black. Since i ordered this prior to the 10th aniversary special, i was'nt expecting the n&j. Anyways just glad the order did'nt get lost in postal service.

I emailed them twice and they kept saying the same thing. 14 days is the standard ship time and no way to track the order with Swiss Post. Kinda rough since that is the cheapest way to ship and keep cost down.

At least you got a reply...I emailed asking about mine since it's now been almost 2 weeks with a "pending" still showing for one item and so far no reply from them at all on this. Not that it's a rush order or anything, but at least hearing back from them would've been nice.

They usualy respond to me pretty quick, be sure their replies are'nt ending up in your junkmail folder. I know for me at first my spam filters would screen out their support emails till i corrected the issue.

I almost always get any snus that I order from Sweden within about 5-7 days, sometimes even quicker. Ever since Northerner.com switched to Swiss Post, their shipments have been much more unreliable as to how fast you get them. I've been waiting 6 business days (10 if you are counting total) for my current shipment and my wife is already really annoyed. I DO have some Thunder that I ordered from the US warehouse (which got here quickly) but I'm rather miffed at it taking so long for the other half of my order. I'm on my last can of Knox, and I'm a Knox junkie.

Anyways, I know it's not Northerner's fault that the order isn't here yet, it's Swiss Post's fault, but IT IS Northerner's fault for not using Swedish Post instead.

I made my Northerner order on 10/23, the site says it shipped 10/23....I hope it arrives today. This is taking longer than my last order.
