    Swedish-snus shipping time lately

    ~~
If i'm thinking right www.swedish-snus.com is the same site as www.northerner.com right?

So here's the thing: I used to get my orders in 4-5 business days, without fail. My last few orders though have been taking the full "7" days, if not longer.

Anyone else been experiencing this the last month or two?

Also, they need to update orders a little better. Mine always say "Pending" until a day or two before I get it. If i check my order and it finally says 'shipped', i can usually find it at the post office in a day or two.

I think so, because I can put in my Northerner username and password there and it remembers all my orders from Northerner and my info.

      http://www.swedish-snus.com/northerner/about_us_en.php

Northerner Scandinavia AB, which is the owner of Swedish-snus.com as well as a number of other web properties within the swedish snus business segment, was founded in 1998. The company now supplies tens of thousands of customers from all over the world with fresh snus.

The company is based outside Gothenburg, Sweden. By most considered to be the snus capital of the world. The company currently employs 12 people.
It takes longer mostly because of a switch from Swedish Post to Swiss Post.

I put in an order on the 1st and still haven't got it. I'd be pretty sure that this isn't Northerners fault but the fault of Swiss Post.

I'm learning a valuable lesson here - use FedEx or UPS NEVER Swisspost. I had to put in an emergency order and the beauty of using FedEx is that I know where it is whereas nobody's got a clue as to where my Swisspost order is. The FedEx option was £1.00 dearer.

The Royal Mail strikes aren't helping either. Northerner has become my go-to because of the cheap Fedex and UPS options, and infrequent Royal Mail deliveries.

The only problem I've had with Northerner lately has been the amount of times that they've been out of stock on some of my staples (General portions & lös, Gotlands Gul lös & portions, Ettan White). If Northerner can keep its stock levels up it will start to win the majority of my business.

Karl - I'm aware that there are various small postal strikes around but I've still been getting all my mail. Even with the postal strikes it shouldn't take 16 days.

I may have gotten one order in 5 business days out of all my orders. They usually take 7-9 days for me. I figure I have an extra day tacked on since I live outside of Madison, so there is one more post office to go through...

Completely agree. However the strikes were the final straw for me and definitely pushed me to use Fedex and UPS exclusively.

Also, I think you've been lucky. I've had four day stretches with no mail at all. Probably depends on if your local sorting office has been on strike or not I guess.

Glad to see that Northerner is re-sending your order.

I live about halfway between milwaukee and madison myself (by Lake Geneva area). It's just kinda weird, cause my orders never took this long until recently. I placed my order on...I want to say the 8th of September. Normally, I would have had the order on the following tuesday. Been 5 business days on the nose since last december, up until about 2 months ago.

I just wish they'd have a better way of tracking my order status at least. Having it saying 'pending' doesn't tell me what's going on. Makes it sound like I haven't even payed yet or something. "Waiting on Stock" would at least let me know what's up.

As it stands, I'm going to have to make another order this weekend just to ensure it'll be here before the order I'm waiting on runs out (only about 7-8 cans ordered).

Well, I just sent the ol' boys an email asking what's going on. Today marks 10 business days since my order was placed and it's still labeled as "Pending". 1-3 Days on Stock (Thunder) plus 5-7 business days for shipping (per the order form) is 10. I can't believe it's been 2 weeks and my order hasn't even shipped yet.

Decided to throw another order in at Getsnus to see how they're shipping is (plus what I wanted was cheaper).

At least when it all gets here I should be stocked up for at least a month, hehe. The only thing is, my orders are in Limbo and I'm down to half a can of Granit white and half a can of Knox portions.

Ok, so I see http://www.swedishsnus.com/ is not the same as www.swedish-snus.com.

Has anyone from the states had any experience ordering direct from http://www.swedishsnus.com/.

Sorry if I hijacked this thread, Google pointed me to it when I was searching for swedishsnus.com ordering.

I am new to the snus consumption and ordering. I used Copenhagen Long Cut/regular for about the last fifteen years. My first order was from Northerner, and I ordered on the 9th of this month, and just got my shipment yesterday via swiss/priority post. Luckily someone told me about getsnus.com, and I got a order in about 5 days via USPS. Thank goodness my local cigar shop had a ton of general white and mini mint samples that they hooked me up with.

Like I said I new to the whole snus world, but have been enjoying the different ones so far.

                            So far I have tryed:

General brands, Sterk portion, mini mint (not my fave), onyx, white, nick and johnny

                            Skruf brands, stark portion, regular

Roda Lacket, Claq Qui (strong but kind of fruity)

After I realized the ingredients in the Copenhagen, I needed an alternative....perfect fit with swedish snus.

Welcome to Snuson and the wold of snus SC SNUSS'IN

Just be aware your tastes at first are gonna be all over the map. the first two weeks, you really aren't even tasting it as it should as your body gets acclimated to the salt.

So be patient as you use. If you aren't really liiking something, put it aside and try it again in a few weeks. Over your fist year, your tastes will change a lot.

If you haven't seen this thread, a s a dip[per, it was written for you.
