I think 5 bucks a can would be the most I would pay at a shop, and I'd be strained to do that. because it's so much less online. 4 would be no problem. But 8? That's way more than double. I figure, 1 can, used exclusively, would last me 3 days.

screw my computer. I had a nice long bit written and for some reason it took me back to the log in page.
Basically if someone doesn't want to switch to something better, they won't If they do, then the extra $$ doesn't matter as much, especially to guys who tried camel and can't fathom spending that much for that little, and for trashy taste.
Me, I just try to make them realize that there is something better out there. If they're interested, I point them to the internet or to the shop in Memphis.
Now, 8 bucks a can is CRAZY. In Memphis it's 4.50 after tax, so that's not as big an issue.
When I get back I'll use it for convenience's sake, and to get that shop some extra business.

Cigs here in Seattle are $6.75 at best, andf $8 at specialty shops. Same prices for dip. These prices qare failrly new, as a result of the federal tax hike in April, but our local lawmakers have always been trying to catch up with places like NYC. So for the uninitiated, who don't know where to get cheaper tobacco... people regularly pony up $8 for tobacco products around here. Long live the online vendors! (I'm a scofflaw now, btw, it's supposedly a class C felony in my state to order online. F*ck 'em)
