I just placed an order on Northerner for about 25 cans of snus. When I checked out they wanted to ship all of it from Sweden except 2 cans of General from the US warehouse. I don't really care alot about the extra $3.50 for the US shipment, but it does not really make sense to me. It's not like they don't have General in Sweden. Why wouldn't they just ship it all together? Just seems odd.

Don't get me started on Northerner! I'm STILL waiting on an order that I placed on the 21st! I understand the whole Swedish holiday deal, but it supposedly shipped out last tuesday and still no snus! -
Sorry about your order. I did not start this thread to badmouth Northerner. I have no complaints with them at all. Just wondering if anyone could come up with a reason for them to default to the US warehouse for certain items they have in both warehouses. I haven't played with Northerner enough, but it lists as available from either, but there seems to be no way to force it to be sent from Sweden.

I wasn't really trying to bash Northerner. This is just the first time I've ordered from them...ya know first impressions and all. Plus I've been spoiled by the quickness of Getsnus! Just venting some frustration! I'm sure I'll continue to order from Northerner due to their far superior selection. 8)Comment

My last order was actually my first time ever ordering from Northerner. The shipping time was pretty much on par with everyone else I've used, so no real bitch there, I guess. I think I will probably be using them more often....good selection and some cool non-snus related stuff, as well. 8)

I made an order and it was shipped last monday. All from the US side of northerner. From sweden my orders take usually 7 days (and i mean 7 business days). I thought for the States it would be faster. I will post again once i receive my order.Comment

I haven't ordered from Northerner in quite a while for most of the above listed reasons, but my GF ordered some from them a couple of weeks back and the opposite of what happened to Mr Snuffaluffagus happened to her.
She got charged shipping from the US and Sweden, but everything came out of Sweden. She's not really crazy about General, but I told her to order some, being that since it shipped from the US she would have something to tide her over while her main order came through. Instead, it took almost three weeks for everything to come out of the Swedish warehouse.
I chalked it up to a new system being implemented and they're getting the bugs worked out. I'm kind of surprised to see that they're still working things out though.Comment

Seriously though, I would figure that it's because it lessens their load as far as shipping, or maybe it's an attempt to get a portion of your order to you quicker. Those are the only two reasons I can think of.
