Buysnus definitely seems to have a sale going on on the old Thunder. But I bet if you did 9 more, Northerner would be the cheaper one on at least 8 of them.

I'm sure on just about all snus they would probably be the cheapest hands down. I'm just worried with the shipping problems we have been seeing lately that I've lost a lot of trust. Especially if other suppliers are not having shipping issues.

Because of the uproar created below I feel that I need to leave this as it is but I realize after re reading that I did not put this in a wording that accurately represented what I was trying to say. For that reason I offer this re post...

From what I can tell Northerner certainly offers the cheapest prices across the board. I am worried from all the post saying that Northerner is having shipping problems. Not from my own personal experience yet as of yet. I have also been hearing from a lot of people that other suppliers are getting their snus here faster because they are using a different postal service. This is giving me pause.

Take this as you will but I believe this more accurately portrays what I was trying to get across. I am not trying to blame Northerner for ANY shipping problem whatsoever. I am merely pointing out that Northerner certainly carries probably the cheapest price going but there has been a lot of post about there shipping lately and it is giving me pause to consider other suppliers based on other peoples experiences. I welcome your opinions.

I usually buy 3 rolls at a time from northerner (Claq Qui, N&J and Thunder Frosted) so I ran a fake order to compare prices relative to what I usually buy:

Northerner = $97.84

Buysnus = $105.38

There haven't been any shipping problems. Like a broken record, ALL shipments from Sweden seem to be taking a few days extra now. Buysnus just as much as Northerner. I am thinking customs has gotten more thorough??

But as others have said more politely, all you have seen is whiny ass posts by folks who seem to think they can just snap their fingers and get their snus.

Again, NO orders have been lost, they have just taken 7 - 11 or 12 days.

oh for sure people are impatient...that's the American way...i'm talking about a dramatic increase in shipping times reported by a bunch of impatient people. What is important in that discussion is if other sites have increased shipping times or is this only on Northerner. In other words due the impatient people have a just cause for being impatient.

sage i will edit this to respond to the post you made while i was positing...I have talked to a number of people reporting fast times from other sites and that Northerner is a unique case of extended shipping times. If this is different in your experience I would love to hear about it. Believe me i'm not trying to damn Northerner at all. They have been my go-to supplier. I was just reporting what I have seen a lot of people say. More complainers than supporters obviously. We really could open up a new thread on this but I guess I opened that can of worms. I was just frustrated by everything I was seeing.

I have ordered from Buysnus in the past two months as well. Package took just as long as Northerner.

Look at all those posts you referred to. Somewhere in those threads, you will see me telling them to calm down, not stress, that there order would get there soon. In EVERY case, that person eventually came back sheepishly to say they got their package.

This is something I have paid close attention to and gotten involved in every case. As a "senior" member here, just feel it is my responsibility to stay the voice of reason.

There have been NO shipping issues. Just snus taking a bit longer than folks had gotten used to.

lol, we need to stop posting at the same time. Believe me i have followed your posting very very closely. I did not intend to start or continue a controversy. The point was just to state what was a "general" comment of the community and from what I have heard other people saying. I was hoping this was going to be more of a friendly informative post. I have in no way any experience with getting faster shipping from other websites and am relying on others experiences. Unfortunately it is what we have to do many times.

ctimb2002 my friend, I have no problems with your post. At the very least, it reminds folks to comparison shop, as there can be some great deals to be had out there if it is on something you want and need.

What I AM trying to put a boot on is this idea that there is some sort of problem with Northerner. Yes, the rash of posts flipping out about supposed shipping problems that turn out not to be is getting a tad old.

Basic good advice for buying snus...

Use who you are comfortable with.
Shop around if prices is important to you.
Stay patient while waiting for your snus.
Know that ALL the major shippers WILL work with you if there IS a problem.

You have done nothing to start a controversy. You mentioned some concerns about Northerner that I think are unfounded and I have attempted to address that. What this forum is for.

All of what Sage said plus, if financially feasible, always plan your snus purchase ahead of time (no matter where you buy it from). Most probably something will go wrong when you are down to one or two cans and order at that time hoping the package will be in the mailbox in couple of days.

Yea I'm tired of so many ppl bitching about the suppliers while waiting for their shipment. Every supplier ships within 24 hours 99% of the time. Please leave the suppliers out of this bitching. If it takes a day or so longer than normal don't have a cow man, simply wait. Its the shipping outfit not the suppliiers fault. I have received evey order from Buysnus, Northerner and Getsnus in a timely fashion. I just received an order from Northerner in the typical 6-8 days. And the order I placed today with Getsnus surely will be here in about 4 days. But I don't care cuz I have a large stash.

If you order long before you think you might run out then there won't be any problem. Hence, no reason to bitch.

If you placed an order and it hasn't arrived in 14 days then simply contact the supplier. They are usually very good at customer service and they should help you out. We don't need to hear complaints about shipping time, customs, or items being temporaily out of stock on this site. Take it up with the supplier after waiting a sufficient amount of time.

BTW, I always compare the prices from the three suppliers that I mentioned above. Since I mostly use offroad, Getsnus has the best price on offroad, considering the free shipping on orders over $50. I won't even bother placing an order unless its at least $50 anyway.

in summary...............
PLEASE DON'T BLAME THE SUPPLIER FOR THE TIME IT TAKES FOR DELIVERY!! Its not their fault and, apparently, its giving some great suppliers a bad rap.

Fair enough and perhaps those concerns were better suited for another topic. I think perhaps I like you am getting a bit frustrated but perhaps in different ways. I think perhaps in my own frustrations I did not post a valid argument and in retrospect should have been worded completely differently.
