No shit man. Every can of Copenhagen original I've ever bought has been terribly stale. Dipping is a once in a blue moon thing for me, but I'd still really like to get to try fresh Copenhagen original at some point in my life. Do you know if Texas gets the fresh stuff at all or is it more of a south-east thing? I've contemplated buying a can to see, but with the tax increase I'd rather not throw cash at another stale can.

And is the Redman snuff any good? I like their chew every once in a while (too sweet for me most of the time). It the snuff sweet like the chew or is it more of a straight flavor?

    EDIT: Typo has been corrected.

Soft Morning city I have tried long cut and fine cut and I would have to say that both of them have a smoked tobacco flavor if I have to pick long cut was better than fine cut because the flavor was milder; both pack a good nic hit. I did not try to upper lip them though.

I tried the fine cut, and it didn't remind of the Cope I'd had previously. I thought the Redman fine was kind of flowery, and pretty mild. I'm not a dipper, so take that for what it's worth. It definitely wasn't sweet like the chew.

There's nothing wrong with Northerner selling "dip". If it helps them make a larger profit, more power to them. I can buy dip for a cheap price but its too sweet for my tastes. I'm also glad Northerner has opened a U.S. warehouse! I will order some General Loose soon!

I do believe that it is illegal in some European countries. I am pretty sure I read that somewhere a while ago.

Perhaps it was the sweet flavours I tried - but I dont think I'll try again. I'll stick to the Swedish snus.

I have never seen Cope pouches, and where I live its hard to even find the long cut. But in no way what so ever is Cope sweet. Skoal straight is though, and I dont like it. I would rather get a flavored one because the flavor should be sweet.

How is the hickory one? I had the whiskey one once, and I liked it but it eventually started making me feel ill. I never bought it again. And I agree about it drying up quickly. Never had an issue with an unopened can though. It just dries out real quick on me once it is opened.

I have a friend that was only in his early 20s when he had to have his mouth cut open several times to remove damage and cancer caused by dipping.
It was hard as hell for him to quit, then he turned to ciggs instead.

I look up to the Swedes for having a safer way of using tobacco and I hate to see it tainted by anything American smokeless.

              I'm sorry,
I see absolutely no harm reduction in these American redneck products.

I'm sorry Northerner, I will need to rethink where I buy my snus.
There was a study posted here that stated that the TSNAs were not all that different. They also post the ingredients on their sites now, and its not all that different. I wonder if part of the issue is that the american stuff kind of wears down your cheek and gums more for some reason.

Anyway, sorry to hear about your friend, but Northerner is not a drug pusher. They also weren't originally even around to sell Snus. They see/saw a demand and they are meeting it.

I just took a look, and I am pleased. I can't get Cope that cheap here. I can get Grizzly for about the same price, and I can get Kayak even cheaper than what Northerner offers. However, Kayak is pretty bad.

I think if you like snus, you would probably like Grizzly straight and Cope. Possibly Skoal Classic, which I have never tried, but it sounds like the other two. You may like the flavored ones as well, but its nothing like snus.

Just figured I would let some peeps know in case they thought of ordering.

I'm not a dipper either, so your words are worth plenty to me. Occasionally I just like to have some chew or dip as a small tobacco adventure. Nothing serious.

I'll probably wind up trying the Redman snuff at some point. They always have deals on it at the corner store near my place, so I figure I might as well. Even if I don't like it, I have a few friends who would probably be more than happy to take it off my hands. None of them are serious dippers either, but they enjoy it from time to time.

I will go so far as to say not only is this fine... I'm thrilled.

I always wondered if the europeans had a chance to try american dip in the same way that we can get snus. I'm glad that now they can.

American dip is safer than it's ever been. Anyone with a computer can find out that it's not as safe as snus or snuff for a smokeless option and make their own call about it.

I'm happy to see cultures blending somewhat... I have high hopes. Imagine sweden and the U.S. together leading the fight for harm reduction in the world.

and a side note, american smokeless products are not completely different from snus. There are several differences, but they are much more alike than any 2 other tobacco products. Absorption is the same, use patterns are the same. It's unfair to classify dip as "for rednecks" and snus as some godly creation. After all, the swedes call using los like dip the hillbilly method. There is crossover appeal, and it's something beautiful.

Yah im glad they are selling regular american dip, I mean its compeltely different but enjoyed by the same crowd. I found SNUS through american dip. I love copenhagen, skoal straight, i mean its just a different way of using tobacco, albeit a less healthy one BUT THAT HOW WE ****ING DO SHIT IN AMERICA, you know?

Chalk me up in the 'Hooray' column. I don't care much for dip, personally---although I will admit to the occasional can of Cope pouches as a guilty pleasure.

This is actually getting funnier and funnier, to think that it is most likely going to be Smokeless Tobacoo that breaks the Tobacco Fascists' backs.

It's only illegal to sell, just like snus is in most countries of the EU. But since it comes from outside of the EU, customs-charges are very likely (19% VAT plus 41% EU-duty on the net price in Germany for example). Small packages often slip through customs but I wouldn't count on that. A Swedish dipper-forum (in case there is one) might give better informations.

There already are some vendors, more or less tustworthy, but Northerner is certainly welcome in the dipper-comunity. Which reminds me that I have to make some postings in German smokeless-forums.

                          Cheers!

Red Seal Natural is also very good in both long and fine cut varieties. It's nice because you get about 43g instead of 35g.

It's made by USST (skoal, cope, etc...). I see that you have the wintergreen variety but not the natural.

I have a different reason for thumbs down to Northerner.

For the past week, every time I put an order together, nothing is in stock. Not one thing in my cart was in stock. I'm still waiting for an order of Thunder Frosted I ordered 3 weeks ago. "Pending"... No response from them.
That tears it. Just placed my order with Buysnus.

What do you think of Kayak Grape?

                                i love the stuff.

Snus has taken the place of all my dipping needs except for this one. It's like a great nicotine jolly rancher.

                                Couldn't believe they had Kayak.
