Hey guys, been reading a lot about snus for the past couple weeks, and finally decided to make my first purchase one week ago from buysnus.com. I went with the Swedish Match Tasting Kit WHITE Large (8 cans) because from what I understand, you can keep in the white portions longer than normal portions... and that sounded pretty appealing to me. Anyway, I ordered it last Friday, and was just curious when I should be expecting my snus. I live in California by the way. Thanks in advance!

As far as shipping, I'm not sure if buysnus ships on Saturday. They were probably closed by the time you ordered. I'd say it's highly unlikely that you'll get it this week (if you do, consider yourself lucky), but look for it early next week... -
Maybe, just maybe, tomarrow. Possibly Saturday, I would say next Moonday or Tuesday is the most likely.
Just some background on how shipping works with Swedish Post. Buysnus sends a shipment every day through Swedish Post, it immediately is sent to the airport and put on a plane to New York. It must pass through customs in NY, then gets turned over to the US postal service. So figure 2 days, one to get to NY, one to move through customs, and then whatever the typical time for a package to make it to you from NY to California.
I have had shipments to North Carolina in as few as 4 days, 5 is more typical, occasionally 6. And one time, it took almost 2 weeks. I just blame a holdup on customs for that.Comment

No man, nothing yet. I had it shipped to my girlfriend's apartment (I live in the mountains.. so shipping here is a pain)... and she wasn't there today. So it MAY have shown up today.. but I doubt it. As long as it shows up Monday, I'll be fine. If it takes any longer than that my getsnus order may show up before it, lol.
And what are the odds of customs seizing my first order? That would blow, haha.Comment

As long as it's shipped by post and not UPS, you shouldn't have any problems with customs. But there are once in a while delays and it "might" get caught up in a batch that it put aside for customs if they are looking for something. It doesn't happen that often, but once in a while, people get unlucky getting stuff from other countries.Comment

Yeah, customs has never been a problem for me; they used to open them up all the time when Buysnus was still using the green stickers on the envelopes, but since they switched to the more legible white stickers, I haven't had a package opened since. It didn't seem to affect shipping time much, anyway.
Keep orders under $200, and you shouldn't have any problems.

I see some sites are shipping Postnord instead of UPS, has anyone recently ordered Snus and had it shipped Postnord? Not sure about it as the final delevery...

Every time I order Snus from Sweden to me in the UK our HMRC (customs) always intercept my package and add on average £180 import duty. Yet they cannot...
