Sheetz Stores in the U.S. now carrying Snus!

Well, until yesterday, I have not logged on here since March 2007 – I had some annoying and excruciating health issues which drew me back from the computer "here and there" – nonetheless, I have remained “snusing” continuously since July 2006 and have now been 27 months without any cigarettes now!

I see some old friends here, and new members are aboard too – it is good to see the Snus world growing and expanding – for the sake of human lives and mortality, the quicker the better, though most, if not all, of us agree it is not happening quick enough.

As for the Title of this thread, I will follow up with another post in regards to that. Must Lunch first.

In case you haven’t heard yet, Sheetz Convenient Stores in the U.S. are now carrying Snus! I was unaware of this until a few days ago, and I lived within about a mile from a Sheetz Store until last month – I have relocated now, but the Sheetz Stores are within reasonable parameters from my residences (about 3 to 4 miles to one of their stores, which is on the way to/from my parents’ place anyway);

So if you are in the U.S. and your online order may be delayed or taking more time to reach you than you anticipated, your funds are at a too limited point for a big order, or whatever, you can go to Sheetz to get you some Snus to get you by until your order from Online Snus Retailer sites arrive, and not have to worry about resorting to cigarettes, dip, chewing tobacco, or something else to get you by until the Swedish Snus arrives.

I remember a couple of times that I did not get my Swedish Snus quick enough as anticipated (weather conditions, UPS Mechanical Issues, etc.), and I had to cut down on Snus intake, even resort to those Ariva Lozenges and Tobacco Bits (Oliver Twist?). I always fear that if I am caught without Snus out in the public arena somewhere, I may have to pick up some cigarettes and wind up coughing my head off. Of course, as I recall, there are some people out there that Snus and Smoke as well.

Are they now carrying real Swedish snus or are you referring to Camel SNUS? If they have the Swedish stuff, I cannot wait until I head to NJ on Wednesday! I will make a very large purchase!!!

I drive through western PA quite frequently when driving from Michigan to New Jersey, I stop at Sheetz all the time and pick up a tin or two of Camel SNUS, they've had it for the last 6-8 months at least.

Yes, I heard that the Sheetz Stores took on Snus early this year, but some of us did not, or do not, know this. I did not even know about this until a few days ago.

Plus, I have long been waiting to try out the Camel Snus, so it was great to finally be able to buy a can of that – I have bought the “Original” style, and will try the “Spice” style out sometime later.

Are they now carrying real Swedish snus or are you referring to Camel SNUS? If they have the Swedish stuff, I cannot wait until I head to NJ on Wednesday! I will make a very large purchase!!!

I really do not yet know which brands of Snus Sheetz is carrying other than Camel and Skoal (which is noted on the entrance door) – it is doubtful that they will have Swedish Brands such as those sold on the Swedish Match, BuySnus/MakeZest, etc. web sites.

When I have the time, I am going to ask the local Sheetz folks which Snus brands they carry besides Camel and Skoal. I ASSUME it is most likely that they are only going to carry “American-type” brands such as Camel and Snus;

I have recently discovered there are some of those “American-type” brands that are out now (Pall Mall, Triumph, 1847, etc.), but if possible, I will try those out by buying them online first. The cost for the Camel Snus Original was $4.61 (which include various taxes) which is a bit more than I am use to paying for a can of Snus, and not to mention, there are only 15 pouches in a can (though I have read the new ones being released has 20 pouches);

There are some places in the U.S. carrying select Swedish Match’s brands of Swedish Snus, and you can check there to see if there is any local place to where you live and / or travel. There are no outlets near me, though.

BTW, there are some U.S. States which Swedish Match is not allowed to ship to. Go figure.

You should definitely try the Spice, I like the Frost too, though I didn't like the original that much.

I found Camel SNUS to be artificially sweet, compared to the real stuff, though not horrible in a pinch.

If you say they have skoal snus, I'll probably stop and buy some of that next week, I've been wanting to try it.

Of the Swedish snuses carrying American Brand names, I've tried Pall Mall original and white portions and Lucky Strike original and white portions...don't be fooled by the American brand names, these are real Swedish products. I thoroughly enjoyed the Lucky Strike snus! It's got a great smokey undertone, a flavor I really appreciate. I would definitely recommend buying some tins of that, as would a lot of other people there.

I've had a few cans of Lucky Strike and have enjoyed those - When I order from buysnus.com, I generally get Lucky Strike in there.

Overseas the brand names Pall Mall, and Lucky Strike are owned by British American Tobacco but not here in the US so you probably won't see them here. Although 1847 is owned by Philip Morris I seriously doubt you will ever see that here also.
