Shipped to Maryland, U.S., how did that happen?

Apparently, buying snus and tobacco online is illegal in Maryland. I didnt know this until I heard about it from a friend. I already had a package delivered that passed customs, paid the federal taxes, and etc. Not sure how it made it through the state, but my guess is that the shipping company paid attention to the federal law, but not the state law. I wont do it again now that I know the law exists, but thought it was interesting. Dont want to get fined or worse.

Exactly what PP said......Please note: if there is any fall out it will be on the vendor who sent it.....if there was any fall out on the vendor who sent it.... they would not have shipped it to you.

Appreciate the info, this a good to know as another person living in the Socialist Republic of Maryland. Was so unsure years back I was having it shipped to a friends place over state lines for a while before settling for a can at a time at gas stations. Costs about 5.35 a can around here now, so I wonder which non northerner would be best to order bulk from.
