It looks like the only one (allegedly) almost paid was John Dalli. I was paid with joy when he "resigned" as the EU Commissioner of Health. That story is evolving every day which makes it difficult to write a good analysis piece about about the future. There is a possibility the Dalli Scandal and aftermath could end the EU Snus Ban in the new TPD. That's what I'm pushing on behalf of my poor snusing friends in the EU who have been screwed over from Day 1.

Like Swedish Match, SnusCentral.org or .com is not paying anyone on the EU Commission to make this happen. I also don't have 60 million Euro available which apparently was the asking price to kill the Snus Ban.

Hopefully this will be the Christmas of Snus for Everyone Everywhere (except France. They are not snus-worthy). Maybe when the Mayans predicted the end of the world on 21 December 2012, they meant the anti-snus world....

You always have my attention, Extreme. lol. My presence on SnusOn was not always welcome by past management. As SnusOn was their forum, I respected their wishes and kept my posting to a minimum. I have great affection for everyone here and hope my rare appearances are not taken personally by anyone as they should not be.

To your question, there would be many tax and legal issues if SnusCentral.com had a US warehouse. Since 30 days before the PACT Act and the Tobacco Control Act became law in the US, the SnusCentral.com snus eStore has had absolutely no presence at all in the US let alone a US warehouse. If it did, we would have to put ugly stickers on cans and be limited to the product selection we could offer to our US customers....No Granit, no skruf, no Mocca, etc. Our selection would have to be similar to GetSnus (minus the Northerner Snus for obvious reasons ).

Like BuySnus, SnusCentral is strictly an exporter of snus to private individuals for their personal use only; at least as far as we know. SC.com is PACT compliant concerning Age Verification, Labeling, and is registered with the appropriate US government agencies.

SC.com falls under the rules of Duty Free stores in that since we shrink-wrap every order into a single piece, SC.com can include a large paper with the current US warning labels in the shrink wrap as opposed to defacing every can with their own homemade stickers.

Since SC.com ships exclusively from Sweden (for the near future), they are prohibited from selling into the EU. Moe can and does sell to customers internationally where legal. We all weep for snusers in the EU and through SnusCentral.org, have been working for years to eliminate the EU Snus Ban.

For SC.com US customers, we have also been fighting the requirement that we can not use US postal service anymore. Congress gave UPS a virtual monopoly on the shipping of tobacco products into the US and UPS has not been shy in raising their rates because of this. SnusCentral.com must also stand for all US Duty fees and payments.

What SC.com does is to ship as quickly and reliably as possible so that our US customers receive their orders very quickly. SC.com ONLY sells fresh snus with expiration dates as far out as any product sold the same week over the counter in Sweden.

The store also has, by design, the most effective and responsive Customer Service Team available anywhere. This team only handles SnusCentral customers.

I have a long retail background. SnusCentral.com subscribes to my belief that regardless of what product you are selling, providing world-class customer service every day is a privilege and an obligation It is NOT optional. Happy customers pay the bills and salaries for the business. Without them, you will not remain in business for the long-term....and should not.

If SC.com could sell to EU customers legally, they would be and ringing the bell. Until that is possible, everyone at the store and myself are very, very sorry and very, very sad.

How likely do you think this....or at least a relaxing of the ban.....will be

About a week ago, I read a piece out of the EU by a "we hate tobacco" group that seemed worried that with all the upheaval the TPD might not be in place in time to act on and would thus be delayed a year (not sure if that helps or hurts our cause). They also spun the whole thing as looking promising for an out and out ban on flavoring and for clamping down even tighter on snus (Sweden excepted). It was pure speculation on their part and they said as much.....and I guess our hope is just as much speculation.........So the question is......... does anyone have a legitimate idea of what will actually be presented for vote and what are they forecasting?

Now about that 60 million Euros.....Have Moe give em a call tomorrow and ask what 16 Euros and 2 American dollars will get us.....if it looks good............I'll throw in the 2 bucks.........

Back to number one. If it's true Northerner was never a sponsor why has it been thrown in our faces time and again..... Seriously that's some effed up stuff..... I have a feeling that some mods were "taken" care of to propagate this myth. I myself find it sickening....... Obviously this is just putting pieces together and I can't prove any of it. It certainly makes you go hmmm tho....... And this isn't just trying to be conspiratorial. I really don't like being lied to by people for their own benefit and my detriment, especially those that I consider friends. Since we know it's not snus or cash...then what? Is it some personal satisfaction? Really dude...I'm just wondering what would prompt people to persist as you (and others) have.

3.Maybe "sponsor" is a bad word to use. As I've stated previously, Northerner handled the fulfillment of orders for the SnusOn store, outside of that and the possible server sharing, I don't know of any investments that Northerner has made. I could be wrong, because I never wrote the checks for the company. Who really cares, many of you (and me) just come here to post and hang out with friends, and as long as the owner provides the site for that purpose...isn't that all that matters?
