Best part of SnusCentral vs. Northerner?

    It was more a notation of current reality than an editorial. It doesn't make a bit of difference, other than prices may improve in the future if it's a software issue. A 30% increase seems high to me to be correct.

      IDK....my price at buysnus for General is $43.91, at Northerner its $38.40. Buysnus recently raised all their snus prices by about $5 per roll. Plus buysnus shipping costs are way out of line.

      but if you actually want to recieve your order you may want to proceed wisely and pay a bit xtra for the time being

        Yeah I know what you were saying but it's just so effed. And if you or I ran a web based shop I'm sure the first thing we would fix if it were wrong would be the pricing. Followed by inventory management then I would get a god damned phone system installed so I could more quickly and better handle customers problems. I'M SURE PEOPLE WOULD RATHER WAIT A DAY TO GET CALLED BACK SO THEY COULD MAKE A SUBSTITUTION THEN WAITING FOR AN UNDISCLOSED AMOUNT OF TIME FOR AN ORDER THEY ALREADY PAID FOR....... sorry for the caps but I accidentally hit the CL button while typing and I'm not a good enough typist to touch type. Wish there was a way to highlight that and change it. Is there?

            The only thing I wouldn't do is have a phone system. It's expensive, and a PITA. You also have to hear from whiners who complain about everything. Doing everything from the web with guaranteed turnaround time should be more than good enough, and you don't have any language issues. It also shouldn't be used much. if your site's right, your prices correct, and your inventory verified, there isn't much left to go wrong.

              If it was merely a software issue it should have been easily corrected some time ago. This is assuming that they either have an I.T. staff or sourced out the site development rather than leave it in the hands of a weekend warrior developer.

              I do like the look of the site, somebody with some decent css skills has made it look quite nice. But all they've done is put a pretty ribbon around a turd. I'm a bit upset that due diligence was not paid to the functionality of their site, proper testing was not carried out.

              They've treated me right in the past and I'd hate to see them go down in flames, but there's really no excuse for this.

                HA! atm SC is cheaper than buysnus on some of the products. I was just sayin that buysnus raised most everything like $5 a roll recently. And I wonder how long it will take before northerner does the same. But I think we are pretty safe any xtra website work won't be done untill the basic site is working properly.....if that ever happens.

                  Actually phone systems aren't that expensive especially if you go voip. In a past life I installed and maintained them. I see your point about the language problems tho. I also understand your point that it would be unnecessary if they essentially got their sh!t together. But While they are exemplifying ineptitude at this time they've always had a problem like this. It just wasn't as bad as it is today. And like I said before people are happy when they send the wrong stuff and get some f#ck up snus for free but that all hit's the bottom line and costs everybody down the road and I think that's what were seeing right now with their price increases. I Mean even when they used Swedish post they made shipping errors frequently. I myself used them exclusively back then and was a recipient of free f#ck up items more than once......

                    I was thinking more on the lines of personnel. With phones, ideally someone would be there 24 hours per day, especially dealing with a global market. Using email/web features, just state you'll get to it within 12 hours. That should be good enough for people. Not as good as instant action, but people need to slow down anyway. As long as you stay within the stated time limit, it should keep people happy as long as you don't blow their problems off.

                        Northerner - investment in the USA, no worry about taxes and they support snuson. Also, they are reliable most of the time.

                          I don't know but I think I spend about $450 a year on snus. I think I have to pay like $35 at tax time for that. So not a biggie. And they are not reliable most of the time we've had Northerner bitch threads for over 2 yrs. Investment in the US? I'm not sure what that means exactly at this point.......

                            Now, I don't work for Northerner anymore....BUT, if I shopped at a place that didn't give me the type of service I was accustomed to getting, I'd just switch, and move on. I wouldn't talk about it online, unless of course....some OTHER shop was giving me free product. So, for those of you complaining about Northerner, I'm curious...which other online vendor is giving you free product, or discounts? If that's not the case, then what do you hope to acheive by continually ripping on them? I mean, I don't really care...but it seems fruitless, unless of course you're getting something for your trouble.

                            As for Northerner "sponsoring" this site....I'm pretty sure that's never happened. I don't know of a single instance where Northerner paid money to support this site. Sure they did the order fufillment for the SnusOn shop, and I think Snuson uses the Northerner servers or something like that, but that's the extent of it. If anyone else has more inside info than that...good for you, please enlighten us ;-)

                              yea sponsor probably isn't the best choice of word. I never know how to describe the snuson northerner relationship.

                              .....and I agree with what you say about all the bitching. there are enough threads on this subject concerning northerner. As well as there are enough threads about all the stickers being applied to the tins.
