40% to 50% off isn't serious?? That promotion just ended an hour or 2 ago.

2 weeks ago it was buy 2 get one free on all Goteburgs and a week before that it was buy 2 get one free on all General. I'd say thats all pretty serious.

I have never ordered from them before reading about them in this forum so not familiar with their usual sales. This last one was supposedly their "anniversary" sale and it was a great sale for buying in bulk. I was talking more a long the lines of a first time/ new customer promotion.

Exactly PP....also, anyone outside of the EU who has been snusing longer than two days already knows Snuscentral/Buysnus is the place to go if you actually want your stuff in a timely manner and your emails answered.

I'll second that. After $53 in UPS shipping charges and the Korean customs tax ($22) here, I still came out cheaper than I would have from Northerner and I ordered 32 cans instead of the normal limit of 6. They currently have a 50% off deal on 10-pack rolls. Order arrived in country in 2 days.

If buysnus were smart, they would implement some serious promoting about now, as I am sure many snus junkies are finding their way to them in light of the current Northerner issues. They could steal a lot of new customers.

On October first I ordered a few Snus: General Long, Jakobsenns Ice-Fruit, and Odens Cold (did I make a good selection? These will be my first swedish snus, if they arrive!).

It has been 3 days now, and only yesterday, they said my order was complete, before that it was "pending".

I have not received a confirmation email for my order (though they have my email address).

So I was wondering if any of you could calm me down because I feel like I'm being scammed... I've never before placed an order and NOT received a confirmation email! It feels very fishy.

edit: Also it cost a total of 26$ which I think is quite a bit, correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh well, you are lucky, I ordered on Oct 1 as well, and my order is still pending. This sucks. They take the money and do not deliver the goods.

Now I use Buysnus's website and haven't regretted it yet. Every 6th roll you buy is half off, had maybe 2 busted cans in that time, and I get my snus in 3-4 days with out fail.

Also, pretty good selection for your first order.

Northerner is all messed up now. I have been using them for the last year and they were pretty reliable until their recent website change. I normally ordered 5 cans each month and they usually throw in a 6th can of Jacobbsen or Thunder. They failed to provide me with my first order back in 2007 and I unfortunately missed the opportunity to realize the awesomeness of snus again until I finally tried again last year.

I gave up on them after this recent bs and am awaiting an large order from buysnus that should get me through to March 2013.

Try different flavors but dont go with too off the wall at first; people only gain their preferences after a while, as well as what type of portion they prefer. I have been snusing for a year and I am barely honing in on my choice brands. I haven't tried a snus I dont like, but I do prefer some over others.

This website has pretty good information on what the general population prefers, and I find it pretty accurate.

Why can they sell and ship for so much less than N'ner and BS??

When you get it..........let us know what you like and dislike

Next order you might want to try a sample box......or just make one up of your own.......try a variety and don't throw anything away......if you don't like a particular brand at first........stick it in the freezer and revisit it in a few months........your taste will change

Northerner's a legit company, but their website has gone to hell the last few days. I wouldn't expect any communications, but you should get your snus. If there's a problem where you don't get your snus, you should be able to get it eventually, but their communication isn't the best. It could take a little while.

The snus you got looks fine. I haven't had the Cold, but have read good reviews of it. IceFruit has a lot of haters, but I really enjoy it. General's kind of meh to me, but it's the #1 selling snus, and a standard, so it's a good choice. Ordering small quantities is expensive. Large amounts is the way to go to get the best bang/buck.

While Northerner is supposedly the #1 snus distributor, hey have problems specifically with delayed orders and poor customer service. That being said, you did not get scammed and you will eventually get your order. If you decide you like snus, going forward I highly recommend ordering way more than 3 cans to offset the high cost of shipping. $26 for 3 cans of snus is a LOT, but, that's what you get when you only order 3 cans. I'm not trying to be discouraging, after all you are new to snus and you need to see if you like it first. For people who do like snus, like all of us, $8+ per can shipped is a terrible deal. That figure will go way down as you order more and pay 1 shipping charge.

Most important, if you really want to know about experiences with Northerner, just use the search function and type in Northerner. People here have had a LOT to say about them over the years, both good and bad. Personaly I use a different major supplier for myriad reasons, but you being brand new, that is neither here nor there. I'm glad you got a confirmation email at least lol. Seriously though, let me repeat, you will get your order and you were not scammed. As for your selection, General Long will be fine and as you maybe know General is the #1 brand in Sweden. Odens Cold should be good as Odens brand in general absolutely rules although I have never tried the new Cold variety. Icefruit, in my opinion, is not even fit for Satan to bludgeon the damned with, but hell you might like it.
