    Northerner Resolves Issue

I have been off snus for a couple of months, but now im back again. Before I took the break from it I ordered 15 different cans to try from Northerner.

I spent about 80$ for them and waited, waited and waited. Over 20 days later I got a mail from them where they said they have got the order back to them because of a wrong adress. I checked and nothing was wrong with it.

They would not send it back to me unless I paid for new shipping. And thats not cheap when you just waited for 20 days and spent 80$ and have to get it to Denmark.

I asked them several times if they could just send me 8-10 cans insted of 15 because I didn't want to use that much money on new shipping. But nothing could be done only if i paid them again.

And then i took the break from snus because my local shop where I buy it only have a very small amount that I got tired of.

I may be trying them again because of the deals they have and so on though.

If in fact you provided the correct address then your issue is with the shipping company. If Northerner emailed you 20 days after you placed your order to let you know they got the package back....it seems that northerner shipped it out right away after you placed your order. I don't see how you can blame northerner for this issue when its very clear that the shipping outfit failed. Take it up with the shipping outfit.

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Northerner always pays back for their own mistake -

In this case it's not their fault at all.

On my 2nd order they've sent me 2 wrong rolls of snus, and because it was their mistake they send me the correct rolls and kept the other two as well.

You may be right then. Its just the fact that they got my 80$ and just said they couldn't do anything about it. They could have been kind and help out a new costumer by sending a new 'test' order of a roll or something like that instead of just keeping my money. I tried to tell them that I could not pay them once more at the given time. So I gave them the option to just send me half of the cans I ordered and keep the rest instead of me paying for new shipping. I could just have ate the 80$ or spent them on a lot of toilet paper instead of putting them on their account.

          @renico

they should send you the money you paid for the snus (minus the amount for shipping that they paid)

send them an email and ask them for the full amount you paid for the SNUS (alone without shipping)

I would think that they would credit your account for the cost of the order minus shipping. Did you ask them for that credit? I can see why they wouldn't want to reship the order as it might not show up again but I'm pretty sure they would have no problem issueing a credit to your CC for the cost of the snus.

Something just doesn't sound right with this whole issue anyway.

edit. lol precious we were thinging the same thing but you got it posted first mate.

just ask them for the money you paid out of pocket, because otherwise that's called stealing and I don't think Northerner does that -

Lol I just checked my invoice on Northerner and I ordered 15 cans when it was a free shipping offer. Total for snus it was 48$ and with tax it was 80$

Northerner probably already sent the tax in and won't get the tax back plus they already paid for shipping so I can almost understand their position. That would be quite a loss for the purchaser.....at no fault of their own. I'd take it up with the shipping outfit.

so why would the government eat the tax and get to keep it (on an un-shipped order)

**** what is this world coming to?

                        lol

I am just assuming. But I can imagine they won't make it easy to get it refunded. Does anyone know??

It seems to me that a lot of companies that do the majority of their business online stand behind their customers, even at a loss, when they have a problem with a shipment. That is just the nature of their business. I am thinking that Northerner should offer a full refund in this case and deal with their shipper seperately. If I placed an order with a correct address and it became lost, I would still expect that company to either reship the product or offer me a full refund. Just like brick and mortar stores have to deal with shrink and theft, online companies should deal with errors in shipments. I know this issue has come up in the past and I believe it was dog who came up with a good solution. Perhaps Northerner can offer to insure shipments for a reasonable fee if they are not willing to take a loss. The fee can pay for lost shipments and perhaps even generate a small profit.

                              100% agree

maybe there was just misunderstanding between Northerner and Renico

things should get sorted out, Frank is a pleasant guy to deal with

most of the times the shipping companies always screw things up

i.e I'm expecting an order from US for more than 60 days now, it's simply pathetic
