Frosted, instead of a foreign bank transfer (overly expensive as you noted) you certainly can use a EU SEPA bank transfer (which costs as much as every normal inland-transaction, 15 cents in my case and my bank is not even the cheapest).

You only have to convert the amount into pounds and round it up a bit (for currency fluctuations and possible conversion fees by GN's bank). I'd say SEK x actual conversion rate GBP/SEK + 2% = amount to transfer.

I've done it once when Payson had problems with the credit card payment, and received my snus 2 days later.

I must say though that I originally also planned to make a foreign bank transfer, but not only did my bank warn me about the costs (a standard pop-up in their web-application), the form that I would have had to fill required far more data than was given in GN's order confirmation. So it was a bit of luck on my side that I did a normal EU bank transfer instead.

I'm not familiar with the detailed banking practices in the UK, I also don't know how GN thinks about this kind of bank transfers, so I can only hope that my field report is useful.

    Cheers!

There is a way to transfer money to bank accounts abroad that costs next to no money and certainly nowhere near £34!!!

Check out transferwise.com - that transaction would have cost you £1 with them - I'm not affiliated with the company, but have used their services a lot and it's always gone through smoothly. Once we all cotton on to this site the banks will have nowhere to go mwa ha ha ha!

    Welcome back BTW!

This is the thing dog - I think the charges are made from the Swedish end. It's a ridiculous charge - I expected a couple of quid.
Odenssnus.com have now put instructions on how to pay by card through payson on their Facebook page rather than paying via bankwire. Wish I'd known.

    Good to see ya mate!

Yea 34 in bank charges seems way too steep.......I'd call the bank and at least question them about it......they might drop it down a bit........or maybe not.....but it can't hurt to try
