    northerner payment issues?

tried using 3 different credit cards all with availble credit above 2000 it keeps declining my order using visa or mastercard are banks blocking tobacco purchases or is there a problem currently with northerners payment processing? Only have a weeks worth left and really would like to purchase by sunday afternoon at the latest so I can be around for delivery so I can sign for it and not get stuck in ups hell trying to pick up my package.

There was somebody on here a while ago with the same issue. I don't remember the exact details but I believe it had something to do with overseas credit card processors and you can call your bank and ask them to process the transaction. You might also see if you like anything on the VIP list as the prices are fantastic and you can use paypal.

putting a ticket in with them the credit card rep on my end pulled history and said I see you have ordered from them multiple times there is no block on our end. Was going to take advantage of the v2 offering and the catch liquorice close exp for .97 a can otherwise I would order from sc but if it does not get resolved I will put in a order with sc.

I actually did hear a news interview on the radio a few weeks back about some credit card companies blocking online tobacco purchases to help keep tobacco away from our children. I don't know the details, because anyone that wants to do anything "for the children" is full of BS and not worth listening to IMO. I just filed the fact that some are doing it and figured I would watch the forums to see if it was happening. Please let us know if this is indeed the case with your card. I'm not happy with one of my cards, so I am shopping for a new one and would hate to end up with a card that blocks my purchases of tobacco.

SAME PROBLEM OP, man I hope this gets fixed before the V2 deal ends
I tried doing with a bank transfer, but my bank doesn't transfer less than 25gbp, and my order was less than that.. this is a bit stressful

Most every online purchase I make is made through Paypal anymore, with a few exceptions. And the ones that I use a debit/credit card on never get rejected for no reason. Does anyone know why none of these Swedish websites will take Paypal directly? I bought some stuff from Germany and was able to pay through Paypal, I am just wondering if there is some issue with Paypal for Swedish businesses. The deal is I can pay though Paypal with my debit card, and then my bank only deals with Paypal and doesnt block the foreign transaction.
Maybe Paypals cut is just to high and would cut into the margin, however I would gladly pay an extra fee not to waste 30 minutes to an hour of my life on hold with my bank EVERY time I make a transaction to Sweden. Once I call and talk to someone I can finish the transaction, but they block it without fail every time, though I have ask them to stop blocking any foreign transaction that has previously been successful.

Buysnus has a bankwire option, but my bank charges 45 bucks for an outgoing wire transfer, so thats a lot of snus I have to order.

Double check what credit cards they accept.

I've been using Mastercard/ Visa and Payoneers so far.

I've used the card they aren't accepting before with them. Something has changed.

Technically you cannot buy tobacco with paypal. They probably overlooked the german site.

Anyone know how long it will take for my ticket to be responded to? I wrote it up 8 hours and 40 mins ago

Hmmm yeah I never read that in there huge list of (mostly stupid) rules and regs. So its ok if I use my Paypal issued debit card (which works) but not ok to spend though the instant transfer(the method I much prefer)... gotta love stupid rules!

I did not know about this paypal debit card. Why did you get it? Do you have a lucrative online business?

Yes I buy and sell quite a bit online. Like a bank Paypal issues a debit card that can be used as such, and as such falls under banking rules (although Paypal itself does not)

All fixed had to talk with multiple card reps for mastercard they did not block the purchase but since it is considered a international purchase it was blocked by their fraud dept. I had to tell them it was me that was making said transaction and they cleared the account to process they told me to call them before each purchase to not have it blocked by fraud dept.

The fraud departments are exactly what has me searching for a new primary card. Regular purchases I make are getting flagged. If they actually looked at their records they would see they are normal purchases for me. On the flip-side, when I expect things to look fishy and get a call, it goes completely unnoticed by them. So far, every bank I have looked at uses the same fraud monitoring service that is causing me the problems and none of the banks will allow a card without the service.
