Maybe smaller boxes, start one on persons 1-5, and the 2nd on persons 10-6, see if they cross over. I dunno. I have given up really on ever seeing a box, so perhaps I'm too fatalistic and I was really looking forward to it given Iowa's current lack of snus.

What about those of us that have participated in box passes on other sites. I don't want to be left out because I am new to this site and don't post as much. I have been on snuscentrals forum for a long time.

What I'm reading here is: (1) We all agree there is a problem with the Noob Box Passes, but (2) we seem to have differing opinions on the causes and potential cures. Maybe we should just table the idea for a while until we've all had some time to think about it. There have to be some alternatives that we haven't thought of yet, but it seems to me there's no sense in rushing into the next one. Brilliant innovative ideas are more than welcome. I wish I had one to contribute, and maybe I will eventually, but I'm fresh out at the moment.

In the meantime, maybe people can use the exchange thread, until we come up with something better.

Mrmynd was around 100 posts and was pretty well established here when he stole the last box pass.

So if he had 150 posts would it have made him any better of a person, or less of a thief? I have never participated in a box pass, so it really doesn't matter to me. I've done plenty of trades even with noobs and haven't been burned, but i always know in the back of my mind that it is a possibility. I generally try to keep the size the trade small so it wouldn't matter all that much. Also when I do a trade I am paranoid the package i sent will get lost. If I receive the package before the other party, I will not open it, Just to make sure i can send it back if the worst happens. I once waited 3 months for a package of snuff to show up from the UK...... so anything can happen.......

I just want to post one last thought and go on record saying that if the noob box is stopped for noobs, This would be a travesty....

What sucks is signing up as a noob, and watching 2 boxes completely disappear while you're waiting for them, and seeing the guys who keep putting stuff in get hosed. Noob Box II disappeared twice, and I don't even know that it made it halfway through the list, so something's not working.

This is my point..... Anyone could do this no matter post count, Not everyone is a dirtbag like that guy.... Do you happen to know how long he was A member on this forum with 100 posts. I think I am on to something with member length of time (Join date) on this forum...I dunno!! On a sidenote: Of course you don't want someone with 3 posts and has been joined for 1- 3 months on this forum joining the box pass....

Whilst I agree it sucks that boxes have been ganked, I'm not sure post count minimum is a way to ensure success. I frequented this sight for quite awhile before I decided to start participating frequently. By the time I had 150 posts I was well past noob status. So I guess, what I'm saying is don't call it a noob box. Just have a regular old box pass with the newly established criteria. Or just take a break from it for awhile. Maybe instead of a box pass, you guys set up a noob snus pool, whereas anybody who wants to donate sends snus to an established member who wants to be the snus pool master. Then the noobs caan post if they would like to try a can or what not from an established pool. I don't know, just thinking out loud, maybe there's an Idea there maybe not......

I agree with c.nash. No offense to you, jagmanss -- the questions you raise are valid ones. But we have to establish some sort of standard for reliability, because the most generous people on this forum have been burned once too often. If not 150 posts, then what would you suggest? Complaints are fine, but complaints paired with constructive suggestions for positive change are better.

I was going to suggest part of what Bigblue1 posted.... He brings up some good points, Either don't call it Noob Box pass, which if their is none for noobs would suck, or instead of 150 post go by the amount of time A member has been joined here for like 1 month me for example, like Bigblue posted By the time I had 150 posts I was well past noob status. This was my whole point of my 1st post on this thread. I have already placed 2 nice orders since finding this forum and tried alot of snus already, but of course not all and would even like to try los and this would be the way to..... as the noob box was intended... I could post like crazy tonight and get 150 posts, Might have to be up late though Just sain'

Especially chad, who I'm sure has put hundreds and hundreds of dollars into box passes just to see it dissapear.

I agree and understand, Chad and others deserve much praise for putting so much into this box pass. They desreve a big Thank you from noobies. This makes other noobies suffer though....

I'm sorry guys i don't get it...

I need to rant for a minute here... What is the purpose of this Box pass? I thought it was for noobies to try out snus. I think i have somthing like 81 posts and would qualify for the next one possibly, I would have liked to get into this one, But I think this 150 post rule is Fundamentally wrong and Contradicts the name of the box pass. I have been a member of this forum for about a month now and if this box is only for those with a certain post count, then how are they called noobies. some including myself don't post all day, But I could or any other noob for that matter could just post in what do you have in your mouth every hour to get up their post count.This is not going to solve anything.

I think a certain amount of trust, Faith and integrity should be given to noobies and other members of this forum, If you don't trust noobies then what is the point of having this box pass or this forum for that matter and calling it Noob box pass. When this box 1st started didn't you have trust and faith that the next person would send it on and not keep it and do the right thing. I feel anybody could just keep the box at anytime and not pass it on, not just noobies cm'on guys how about A little faith and trust in your fellow man and new members. I think this sends the wrong message to new members of this forum that they can't be trusted.

I know some of you feel burned by what that dick did too Noob box pass II, but why let 1 bad apple spoil it for all. This could happen at anytime and am sure somone must of thought that it could. Hell what is stopping someone from taking 5 items or 20 out of the box and only adding 1 or none, like I said a certain amount of member trust and faith in that people will do the right thing is neede here. You mine as well change the name of the pass box... Sorry this is not right for noobies....

I belonged and still do to a cruise critic forum, It is for cruisers to get to know one another before they go on a ship and help with questions like what is a good cabin, what ports are like and what excursions are good to go on, how to save money, Many meet up on the ship. I have given money for group excursions to fellow members I only met on that forum days before as many others do, because that is how you save money to do things that the cruise line charges a fortune for. Many members just trust that that person organizing and taking $$$ from other members will do the right thing and their is trust and faith....

Sorry for the long rant but this is how I feel, I do not take offense to this post rule, i just think it sends the wrong message about the noob box and what this forum is about...

Again I will say just because 1 person did this it should not be changed, After all how long has this box been going before something like this happened
