Just got my first order from northerner yesterday. A pris of loose seems to hang a little low for my taste. How low is it supposed to hang? I dont really like having it on my teeth, anyway to keep it up higher? It comes down to cover the top half or so of my teeth.
How low does your loose hang?

My pris usually sits in the pocket above my gums - not sure if it's something common to everyone, but if I run my finger up along my front teeth I can feel a sort of bump in the gums just above where the teeth enter and above that sort of a recess. The pris just tucks away up there and doesn't really get near my teeth at all. Maybe my top lip has just stretched to accomodate it

How big a pris do you usually take and what do you use to form it? I am using about half the capacity or less of the prismaster. Maybe I just need some training to develop my "lip"Originally posted by ZeroMy pris usually sits in the pocket above my gums - not sure if it's something common to everyone, but if I run my finger up along my front teeth I can feel a sort of bump in the gums just above where the teeth enter and above that sort of a recess. I use maybe 2-3 ml - either a longer pris from the small icetool or a stubby pris from the big one. About the size of a full prismaster, I would guess.
(edit)
ok, here's the lengths I go to for this board - a horrid clinical photograph for your viewing pleasure

I've had this pris in for about 20 min (diplomat... one of the last tins in existence
) It generally stays put right about where you see it.

Your upper frenulum (that little string under your lip) will probably take a bit of punishment until it toughens up from having snus jammed up there, but once it settles down you'll probably find there's a ton of space up there just waiting for snus to set up camp.

ROFL. you beat me to it Zero. I was about to take a pic just like that one.
I once made one in my 3ml icetool by removing the plunger completely and packing it full then inserting the plunger to push it all out. Was using N&J loose. My head about exploded from the nicotine, but damn that stuff tastes good. I kinda looked like  and real twitchy. Kept that badboy in for a good 4 hours though.

Crap, that's at least twice the size of the prillas I make.

Good point. I've been trying to bake very thin, flat strips, but it's harder to do and still keep the snus firm and in place.Originally posted by lxskllrThat's about where it sits for me also. making your pris long and thin would be the best bet for keeping it high I think.
