Yeah I'll definetely picking up those deals soon... Being a new snus enthusiast Im still debating what I should freeze what I should just put in the fridge.. I've read one rule of freezing what you are not going to use in the next month but I have no clue.. With the new varities I've got from northener.. Right now
they are all loose in the bottom drawer of the fridge waiting for organization.. I do have a few in the freezer three cans of general mint mini and one wintergreen.. Damn cigar shop random guy "the minis are the best ones" lol granted was the first time buying snus before joining snuson... I can allways double up one on each side... Oh yeah anyways those ziploc pump deals sound like they'll work great

They do work great for short term storage, like for a month or so. The ones I tried lost the vacuum after about a month or so. Maybe I got a defective box but you can take a quart bag and 5 cans, stack the cans like a half roll, stick them in the bag, seal all but about an inch of the bag and roll it until you get as much air out as you can then seal the remaining inch. I did this with Julesnus from Dec. 2008 and last winter they were still pretty tasty with no freezer burn taste last January.

In all reality, snus kept at or below 40ยฐ F will be fine for up to 12 months after the "Best Before" date. Kept frozen, it will last for up to 24 months. Both storage methods may cause the snus to lose a little potency in flavoring but not that much. This is according to Swedish Match's snus experts. When you Vacuum seal the bags, you're actually protecting the flavor from going weak or off. I've only froze either limited run snus flavors like Nordstrommen Limited edition and both Julesnus brands. All the rest live in the fridge. ;-)

That is too funny, that's actually what I did before I read your post. 5 cans per quart bag. I used a straw to suck out the air which seemed to do the trick nicely. My wife thinks i am nuts.. But she loves the fact I quit smoking.. I still have two rolls I haven't taken the plastic off in there I'll probably break in halves and put in gallon bags.

I initially tried the Reynolds zip-lock bags (since discontinued
but now peddled by Debbie Myers, the Green Bag lady) and
they couldn't hold a seal for squat.

For one thing, they are refrigerator bags not freezer bags and
for me they were a total waste of time and money; I replaced
them all with the Ziploc Freezer Bags. I get 6-8 cans in the
quart bags and up to 16 or 20 in the gallon bags; 16 flat --
20 stacked (< wish I had thought of this first).

Been using these bags to store all kinds of items,
food-wise and otherwise, for quite a while. They're
even used for marinating and sous-vide cooking
            (although I haven't tried sous-vide).

            YMMV

                Anyone had any leak?

I had a few do so and I've read of it on reviews.
                Still good for the price.

                  Yes.

Some tape on the valve and zipper is an easy fix. My problem with them is how thin the plastic is, you can't JAM and CRAM like regular freezer bags, haha.

I saw these at Wal Mart dirt cheap but I am not sure I want to try it yet. Must snus rolls are sealed with a plastic strip around the edge and then the roll itself is wrapped in plastic. You have to break the rolls apart to use these bags. Can we be doing more harm than good?

Sounds like you're describing the Reynolds/Debbie Meyer bags --
the Ziploc Freezer Vacuum Bags are heavier duty. I don't jam-n-cram them
but can fit up to 20 cans in a gallon bag (as mentioned earlier). Never had
the need to use the tape 'fix' and never had a problem resealing them
(so far).Click image for larger version

Don't see how? Kinda like double bagging frozen food -- an extra layer of
precautions/safety! Double-layer freezer bags by Ziploc are available
                      for meats, etc.

A leaking bag in this case in not a disaster, especially if the cans themselves are still sealed. Hell, I'm not even worried about a power failure that defrosts the freezer as I would be for heavily perishable foods; refreezing sealed cans of snus is acceptable, IMO, as long as there is no extreme delay.

                            Right

I look them over once in awhile and give them another pump, if needed.

I had read about the packing tape fix on the valve. I haven't tried it yet.

A roll doesn't necessarily come in a roll.

I used the 9 can flat method like in the video.

You guys may think i am rediculous. But my 'pre pact' stock was over 200 cans. So I just threw down cash for Space bags!!! Hahaha! I fit every can of snus I bought fits wonderfully. And these guys are soooo thick! I take up a good portion of my parents downstairs freezer. They hate it! :P
