When I pick up a portion, I roll it more into a tube shape like a pris. Is this a good thing to do? Does it mess with anything?
Do you roll your portions?

I always roll regular portions lengthwise, other wise I find they move around too much. When rolled, they stick well into place and do their job of releasing flavour and nicotine without needing attention or control. I just click it into place right up where gum meets lip and off we go.

I squeeze and shape the portions with my tongue, if needed. Sometimes they really are too flat and don't release enough flavor and nicotine.
Cheers!

i usually pop them in flat...after a while of use, i'll fluff them up like a pillow with my teeth and stuff it back into position. however i noticed when i use it flat, often the corner of the portion is overlapping my teeth and it shows when i talk or smile. so i try to fold over an edge to keep that from happening.

I go both ways. Sometimes I just put them in flat and other times I roll them up lengthwise. Lately I've mostly been rolling them up because they tend to stay in place better that way and I like the feeling better under the lip.

No, but I do roll my own joints from time to time.
I do, however, roll my loose, which is all I use.

I always roll the white portions. Out of the tin they're almost like little bricks in a pouch. Rolling them gets the flavor going. Regular portions I usually don't have to do this unless they have lost a bit of moisture. It also depends on how badly I need a nic hit. Rolling the portion does loosen it up a bit and speeds up the process of getting the entire portion moistened up in my mouth.
Sometimes I also fidget a lot when I get a little stressed, so rolling it for a bit helps me with that.
But hey, whatever floats your boat... or sinks it, depending on what your after.

I always put mine in flat. Thats just the way I prefer them. With the seam out and flat. The only thing I mess with when I take one out of the can is I mash down on the portion to spread out the snus inside evenly, because most of the time it's on one side of the portion and I like to equal it out.

I might roll the seam to the edge. I usually always roll to loosen up and even out the bag. I love the smells left on my fingers it reminds me of snuffing  . I will sometimes take a bag out of my mouth and roll it a quarter turn to get a fresh surface (no smelling on that).ops:

I generally take it out of the tin and roll it out so that it is level within the pouch. It gives you a good feel for the consistency of the SNUS you are dealing with. I find that others "roll" better than others. I also usually shake it as you would a sugar packet holding by one side and fliping it back and forth to get it looser within the pouch. Just another ritual that goes into my love for SNUS lol.
