Cutting back on Snus usage

I have yet to count how much Snus I use a day.

My most typical snus, LD white is $2.68 a can. Still pay NO taxes for it. Add a few more dollars for shipping, depending on how large the order is.
General is $3.83 a can.

3.83 for General? Getsnus is only about $3.20 for a single can, less than 3 bucks if you order a roll. I have noticed Getsnus is cheaper than Northerner and Buysnus. The only drawback is they don't always have the more obscure stuff.

Keep in mind that any money you save can be quickly offset by a disorder known as P.A.S. (pipe acquisition syndrome). When I first got into pipes, I couldn't pass up a good deal on a new beauty for my collection.

i just dont even think about it. I throw in a portion, and before I know it, 2-3 hours have gone by, especially if Im at work running around the ER like a jackass. I dont even think about changing it out until the flavor is about completely gone, long after the nicotine. I used to smoke just as much as the next guy, but I dont think I ever have used more than 3-4 portions a day. And I don't use ANY other form of tobacco. I think since I quit smoking, snus has helped me actually lower my body's need for nicotine. Even using only 3-4 a day, I NEVER experience ANY type of nicotine withdrawls, or even have cravings. Hell, sometimes I even forget I dont have a portion in for hours. Im actually starting to think I only snus anymore because I enjoy the flavor of my General Wintergreen and Thunder Frosted so much......

Why would anyone want an update as to how much snus you use daily?

I could only think of you as someone wrote in one of the political threads that you should monitor what you say by whether you'd get socked in the pub or not for saying it.

We'd definitely have words if you spoke to me like that.

cutting back

Well I went on a Vipassana meditation retreat and they insisted on no tobacco use so I weaned myself off it over three days. I quit cigs this way thirty years ago and because I read that the stuff got out of your system in three days I believed it. Well was no big deal not having snus or dip for ten days but as soon as I got out of the retreat, I bought me a can of longhorn for the ride home (six hour drive).

I know people at work who went into the hospital for hip operations etc and had no prob dropping dip. I imagine that its more a habit than an addiction really... but I also realize some folks are more addicted to cigs than others. I seem to be able to cut back but I dont like to necessarily. I dip one in the morning before breakfast, one after and then maybe two more in the morning, a couple after lunch, one for the ride home and one two or three after dinner depending.

For me dip is pretty cheap at 1.35 a can and it lasts me a whole week with the size dips I take.
