I've had same problem. I knew that swedish snus is spit-free, but when I first swallowed snus juice, my throat exploded by burning (coz I did it with Thunder), and for 4 days I've had really bad feeling inside of my throat. But after 4 days that burning was completely gone, and its ok now :-) I love taste of snus juice.

I have only used a few snus so far...I don't see how I can be "craving" them already. Especially since I am chain-vaping 36mg. right now too. And what bothers me is the fact that the Wine and Dine DIDN't knock me down, when I know TB said it hit him pretty hard- and he is the tough one!

I received my shipping notice from Mr. Snuff....can't wait- should get it Monday or Tuesday. Can't wait to try the Swiss Chocolate and the Absinthe!
I think it's just some that he mixed together, but wow, tastes/smells so much like mango that it's spooky in a great way

I've never had a snus knock me down, not even the starks! But I was a 2 pack a day smoker for a very long time so maybe I'm just nic-needy

The Swiss Chocolate is awesome, you're gonna love that one. Be easy on the Absinthe at first though...that stuff is very heaavily mentholated/licoriced

I really didn't know that the Absinthe was mentholated....I might not like that. I was reading ALL of the Nasal Snuff thread, and wrote down all of those Toque "Cocktail" recipes...they sound so goooood! What I am afraid of is all of the posts about starting with 3 cans, then 10 cans, then 30 cans, then 50 cans, etc. My budget won't handle that kind of load, especially trying to do that with vaping supplies, snus, AND snuff! I am trying to see if I can budget for 2 methods to solve my nic needs...either vaping and snus, snus and snuff, vaping and snuff, etc. Either that, or I will stock up on snus and snuff, and just use my PV to vape 0 mg. nic for that "hand to mouth" and seeing vapor thing.

SheilaLynn, are you now mostly a snus and snuff gal, or do you also steadily vape too?

        P.S.- I was also a 2 pack a day smoker for over 32 years.

deeanne...that is the way to go..get the vaping down to 0nic and snus and snuff your guts out!! You will still have the enjoyment of hand to mouth and throat hit....and snus and snuff are far less expensive to use for the nicotine hit. I was a pack a day smoker for 30 years myself...and with these great products I know I will never go back. Best of luck to you always! The Wiz!

Snuff is really the cheapest tobacco you can get, and lasts me forever. I can go ape wild with snuff in ways I can't do with snus. A snus can may last me three days. The same cost of snuff will last me 3 months.

Hey Sage....are you now primarily a snuffer? I have to admit that I am salivating over the thought of those Toque Cocktail recipes.....but I don't know yet if snuff and I are going to become best friend or not  .
I also read that you can freeze snus and snuff, so that makes me happy as well. Right now, I would like to find some favorites...and start stocking them first, then experiment with new types as time, experience, and money permit. In a way, I am kind of hoping that I can fulfill my nic needs with snuff only....but that is only a dream right now.

It isn't. It's just anis scented, no menthol. Here's a 10 order from NicotineRush that I think would be a good sampler for a beginning snuffer...

Toque Original- Bergamot scented, the classic English style, and arguably best in class

Toque Whisky/Honey- Finely ground, and lightly sweet. A good introduction to the toast style for beginners. Not the easiest to take, but not so difficult either.

Bernard Brasil Doppelt-Fermentiert- a heavy, very moist snuff in the German Schmalzler style. Smells like rum and holiday fruits. Very rich and sweet.

Gawith Apricot(Pöschl)- Medium menthol, and a very light apricot scent in the back. Popular with almost every non snuffer who has tried it.

Bernard Zwiefacher- Medium menthol, slightly fruity. Very easy to take, and lightly sweet.

McCrystal's Original & Genuine- Complex warm menthol, with a lot going on in the back. The standard in medicated snuffs, and very easy to take.

WindMill snuff ChocoMint- Ground in an old Dutch windmill. Nice scent that smells like chocolate and mint :^D A very small producer that makes top quality snuffs. The A/P is a favorite of mine. It smells like a pine campfire :^)

Wilson's Crumbs of Comfort- Peppermint and spearmint blend. Minty, and somewhat sweet, it's one of Wilson's oldest blends(made for Snuffy Charlotte)

Wilson's Lemon Grove- Bright lemon, with the bitter note of peel.

Samuel Gawith Gold Mull- Perfumed snuff with VERY light menthol and citrus notes. Not an all dayer, but very nice on occasion.

Thank you for this list lxskllr...I wrote it down for my next order. I was wondering, a few on that list seem to be flavored, are the rest natuaral tobacco flavors?

Have you cut your vaping down Wiz? Or at least down to 0 mg. nic? I am torn right now, I just purchased a new PV that uses cartomizers...so that I didn't have to drip and refill carts all the time. Plus, I just recently started snusing, and am going to try snuff....but right now I am in a nicotine nightmare! I just finished a Discreet Strawberry snus, plus I am almost chain vaping 36mg. e-liquid in this new PV...and my nic craving is so bad that now I am trying to chain-vape my 510 high voltage mod to get that TH and nicotine. I seem to have turned into a true nicotine fiend- and I am not getting it satisfied right now, and it is maddening!!!!

                          deeanne59, it is a phase.

eventually, the snus will win out simply because it is the best, smothest, longest acting nicotine delivery system. And eventually, your body will tune in to that and keep wanting it.

Don't stress it now, use what you want. I assure you, in 3 months you will laugh at some of your concerns now.

Thanks sagedil...it is just at times that I seem to have a severe nicotine craving, and sometimes these PVs feel useless. I feel like someone who is dying of thirst and can only get a little sip of water at a time, and THAT is what is maddening- almost like having an itch that you can't reach.

My main problem with vaping is that I can't get it all together....my required nicotine level, and the throat hit that my body is craving (I guess from smoking). Snusing is so new to me, that I haven't considered what strength I need, and how often...to keep these cravings at bay. With vaping, I can get TH, but some strengths are too strong and others are too weak! I am a 4th generation smoker, and I read an article yesterday that said someone like me was probably born addicted to nicotine, and will never be rid of the addiction. I think that is why my attempts to go to 0 mg. with vaping has been failures. My body will not tolerate anything below a certain milligram level. When I try, almost every fiber in my being starts "screaming" for nicotine!

I know that must sound terrible, and I guess it is my curse...that is why I HAVE to find a way to get my required nicotine without smoking.

deeanne59, start using sterks. Thunder Frosted, Odenns Kanel. Even Skruff stark or Nick and Johnny.

U used strong's almost exclusively as I transitioned from cigarettes over 4 months. Eventually, when I was just snus for a while, I just easily transitioned back down to mostly regulars.

but right now, give the snus the best chance possible, just use sterks for a while.
