    Muddy,

I switch sides and bottom lip it.

As far as getting the pris in place without it breaking up: here is a post from the Dipper's Guide to Snus that you might find helpful.

The quoted section below is a post from another thread that I thought might be of help. It describes how to get a pris into your mouth without it breaking up. It is a simple one hand (actually just two fingers) one motion method that keeps the pris from being squeezed (and thus breaking up) as you try to get it in. After the quoted section, I try to add some clarification.

How do I stick it in?!?!?! (haha, I know)
I just lead in with the back of outside finger that is holding the pris- using the back of the finger to push the lip out of the way as I go. Also, I begin with my finger on the back of the mouth- where top and bottom lips meet when the mouth is open (not right where I am putting the pris). This makes it easier to catch the lip and slide the pris up into place while keeping the lip out of the way.

I have no idea if this makes any sense but I hope it will help.
    Let me try this again:

    1. Hold the pris between two fingers
    2. Open your mouth and hold the pris above your tongue
    3. Now move your fingers with the pris to the left or to the right
    4. Your outside finger will hit the side of your lip/mouth
    5. push/stretch the lip out a bit with the back of the finger
    6. slide your finger up, around the inside of the lip until it is where you want the pris to go
    7. put pris in place, remove fingers, and adjust with tongue to preference

Important: a big advantage of this method is that there is no need to grip the pris tightly and thus break it up as you struggle to get it in. Therefore, it is important to remember to relax, hold the pris lightly, and let the back of your finger clear the way in a single natural motion

Top Right or Top Left, as far back as I can get it. Los or Portion! Never in the bottom. Never in the bottom. Never in the bottom.
I mostly use Los. With Portions I will move them around exercising my tongue. Los I try to leave alone until I think I need to replace it.
I use My Icetool when I want a measured prilla. I use a Prismaster when I want it to last a long time. Both are good tools but the Icetool makes a good 1 gm. prilla and I get to use different snus flavors and textures more frequently.

Portions don't last as long in the tin or in the mouth for me. Only 30 minutes to 45 minute and it has to be replaced with a new one.

With the IceTool I prefer the left side. Handbaked I prefer the right side, and portions are everywhere, but tend towards the right side more.

The trick with lรถs snus it just to keep doing it until you get the hang of it. find your own way. Once you find it you can keep a prilla in your mouth forever without it breaking up, you can remold the prilla back into shape with your tongue if necessary.

Portions get stuffed all over my mouth, top, bottom and even under my tongue on the side towards the back..just inside my lower molars. Los, top right...only

I switch it up as well, but I definitely prefer the top left just right above my canine tooth.

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

always left side top, with los or portion, right next to the little thing in between your gums and your lip

Middle of upper lip, I find it easier to get the juice drip this way

both. I would think it's a must to use both, to lessen the load on the gums in a certain area

Right. Left is more sensitive for some reason. With nasal snuff it's the opposite: right nostril clogs before right!

I discovered that I need to alternate because otherwise I no longer get the nicotine as well. Perhaps it is the copius amount of sodium combined with gator lip, but I get the wintergreen burn only if I switch sides...
