So I feel kinda stupid. I've been saving up Northerner bonus points for a while to get the 5ml stainless Icetool. I have 1500 points and it costs 2100. I keep getting worried that it will disappear off the list before I get there or the system will change whatever (I'm kinda paranoid). But it just dawned on me that I could make out better with my bonus points. I use a couple of the snusii on the bonus page a lot so check my math and let me know what I should do.

5ml icetool=2100 points
available points=1500
1 can snus cost=60 points (i could get 25 cans)
cost of icetool=like 47 or something
cost of 25 cans snus=like 70 bucks!

So I could totally use this as an excuse to go ahead and buy the 5ml icetool lol. Even though I've been saving points for it for 6 months and still don't have enough. lol

As long as they have snus you would normally buy then it's a no-brainer, using your points to buy snus is a better deal.

I had already done the math and figured out the same thing. Points FAR more valuable for snus than the Icetool. Why I bought the Icetool last time and will use all my points for just snus this next go around.

Sorry i haven't posted in a while. My .02 worth on this would be.
If your the kind of person that collects one-off items, then wait for the points as the one you get on bonus points is laser engraved with "The Northerner" and can't be purchased.
I like to collect things like this so I waited and used points.

Thanks guys for double checking my sanity or lack of And good point Icebear I didn't realize the difference. I'm pretty sure the points will go towards snus and I'll buy the icetool. I'm not pulling the trigger yet though.

I really want the snus ashtray. It's not many points. I've been using an old Kardus box for snus disposal by my chair.

My issue is that I know the minute I use my points they will come up with something I need even more.
