Alright, so, after my whole snus water incident (see previous thread.) I am in the market for a new fridge, but I want one just for my snus.

Wine coolers often work better (perfect for rolls) and I think the Montecristo fridge may in fact be a modified wine cooler...

I have one similar to the one in your second link; it works great. I have had it running 24/7 for almost a year now......the fan is starting to make some noise, but it is still going strong. I bought it used, so who knows how long it was running before that. I can fit 20 tins in it along with a drink.

I think I will wait until I outgrow that fridge before I go for a more classy snus display.

^^^Yeah, that same guy sells those every once in a while; I guess they are some kind of discount warehouse. I thought about picking one up just for the hell of it; they usually don't go for that much and shipping is fairly cheap.

I heard that Camel snus tins are slightly smaller than the Swedish ones; anyone know if that's true? If so, I don't think they would fit in those slots properly...

I think you'd have to mod the trays to get the Camel fridge to work. Camel tins are nothing like Swedish snus tins. I really like the Camel counter display. I've seen them on ebay a couple of times, but they always cost more than I want to spend.

It was made for the rounded snus cans of Camel before they switched to square tins. I email the company to ask about it, however, no response. I think i might look into producing fridges like that, it couldn't be too hard.

Yes, now I have a project.

I am going to build a refridgerator to hold snus. I will post my pictures up here... Time to figure out how to do this.

Any help. I think I need a compressor first.


It looks like this will be more expensive than i thought... Maybe I can take apart of fridge and use its guts in a custom box...

For the price of building one, I think you'd be better off buying a nice wine chiller and using it for snus.

I wanted a mini fridge for my room. My room is my office for my freelance mac business but it also my bedroom as I work from home.

Therefore the cheap mini fridges on amazon wont do as they have a loud fan and are not really fridges they are drink coolers.

So although having a budget for a montecrist fridge I did not want that but found a noiseless 30L fridge for £160 incl next day delivery. It arrived this morning. The fridge is small enough to fit under my desk. however the fridge is bigger than you would expect for the amount of space you have for storage. That is because of the convection system it uses to cool the fridge hence it is completely silent and has no moving parts. This is essential for a bedroom fridge.

It cools to a min of 5C

This fridge could easily be built into furniture so may have a floor to ceiling cupboard built with the fridge hidden.

i am new to snus so dont have many cans about 15 at the moment but I estimate this fridge will hold approx 130 cans. or 100 cans and some milk n fruit.
