Snus Storage Questions

thats funny you two both mentioned the labels. It bothered me too! but I didnt want to line up each can perfectly and then have to hear about how i'm obsessive compulsive. I figured with the labels a little off it would look a bit more natural and casual while at the same time capturing the attention of my fellow snusers. Guess I missed that one. Dammit!

Perfect Snus Storage!
hey guys, I found a great way to keep your snus fresh while its in the fridge.
Target sells these airtight containers, I think this particular one is a target brand so you might not be able to find the exact one at a different store but these have a lifetime warranty, they're cheap (like eight dollars) and they have a nice modern look to them.
I know they work because I did a test. Here's what I did... First I opened a container of general wintergreen and put it on the shelf in my fridge then I opened another wintergreen and put it in the airtight container. After a few days the smell of the wintergreen alone on the shelf had pretty much disappeared while the smell of the one in the container smelled just as strong as it did when I first opened it. A week later I couldn't smell anything from the one on the shelf but the one in the airtight container still smelled the same as it did on day one!
The reason I like this is because you can open up several cans with different flavors and use whatever flavor you're craving without having to worry about all the open cans losing their freshness!
I ****ing LOVE these containers. In the picture below I have 4 cans, one is a mini. If you look at the top you see a blue glasp, this is what keeps the stuff inside fresh. You just clasp them when you close it and it sucks out the air. Then just clasp again to open.

w00t!
Thanks for all the wonderful tips!
With the Triumph, it is my understanding that it has lowered nicotine, thus my still craving a smoke with one in.
Well, I got my order today and WOW! This stuff if great. Even the difference in smell between the Triumph and General is amazing. Triumph smells more like Cope to me but the General is very different and pleasing.
I did not mind the saltiness one bit. In fact, I found it quite enjoyable!
Now to work on the replacement. I don't see it being very difficult though.

Sames as Sagedil, I keep opened cans with me and have never noticed any deleterious effects. I usually keep opened cans of los in the fridge though.

I used to always put my open cans back in the fridge. Now I no longer bother, unless it is something I am using like one a day of. Unopened, freezer, cause I often have over 60 cans in storage.
I have found no degradation of snus that is sued over several days when I didn't put it in the fridge.

I bought a $75 mini-fridge from Wal-Mart just to put in my bedroom. I keep all my beer/snus in there except for what I take out of the house with me. One can on me all day, the rest of my open cans in the mini-fridge and my sealed cans go in the freezer.

Have a friend that used the same coupon. It was expired. he said it tasted like syrup. Now he's got a bad idea of snus. I have to go out and convince him otherwise.

I have not found a local for anything but Camel and Triumph. I buy from getsnus, buysnus, and northener online.
FYI: Triumph is real swedish snus just not a very good one IMO.

BTW, do you know of a local retailer in the Greater Atlanta area? I live in Lilburn.

Storage questions
Greetings...
I recently received a coupon in the mail for a free can of Camel snus. Well the tin I got was not only old, but way too sweet for my tastes. After doing some research online, I discovered what "real" snus is. Due to a lack of local tobacco shops, I tried a can of Triumph next that left me wanting to smoke even with one in my mouth. Yet again, I had been duped by another poor American excuse for snus.
I finally gave in yesterday and placed an order online. I now have a roll of General Original Portion and a can each of Offroad Liquorice, Offroad Coffee Vanilla and a free can of General Sterk on the way.
I am looking forward to being able to use tobacco in a safer manner than the cigarettes I have been smoking for the past 20 years.
My question is about storage. I plan on storing all unopened cans in the freezer but is it OK to keep an open can on me at all times or should it be stored in the fridge as much as possible?
Thanks for your time.
