From what I've read the fridge is fine for <6 months or so. The deep freeze with vacuum sealed bags is for storing it for a few years.

You guys are great. Thanks for all the help. A newbies FAQ would make a great sticky thread in this section.

          How to store Snus

Many people wonder how to properly store their Snus collections, and also wonder how long their cans of Snus will last for. In my experience, open Snus cans are usually good for about three weeks at room temperature before portions begin to lose flavor and cans of los get dried out. In order to prevent your Snus from becoming dry or bad tasting for much longer, it is ideal to refrigerate or freeze your Snus.
Both portioned and los Snus should be kept in the refrigerator if you plan to use the can within two to three weeks. Cans that you want to store long-term should be placed in the freezer (ideally vacuum packed), where they can be kept for up to a year without a significant decrease in quality.
Storing your Snus properly will ensure that the taste of the Snus does not deteriorate. When Snus is left out, it can react with air, causing it to either dry out or taste very stale. I’ve had a few cans of Catch get rock-solid on me when I left them out for two months by accident!
I also recommend taking a look at this great guide on how to build a Snus humidor in four simple steps.

Just keep it frozen. If you want to keep it for long term then vacuum seal it and freeze it. It will last for more than 7 years and longer stored this way. I have snus that is of that vintage and its like new when thawed out.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Yup and vacuum sealers are cheap these days, plus they're a great gizmo for in the kitchen!

Yes, and regular freezer bags are not enough. I've murdered Snus in the freezer, that wasn't vacuum sealed.

Guys, this raise my question too, what can you add to normal snus? I mean aromas or even better any liquid you find at supermarket? Can you just take from the storage freeze and put it on?
