    Sphere Shaped Pris?

Does anyone here bake their pris in to a ball shape? A couple of years ago before I was using snus and had even heard about it, the company I worked for meged with another Sweden based company. Several of the Swedes came over and we were meeting with them and discussing how to integrate our companies technoogy. One of the guys used Snus and he showed us how he baked a pris and he basically baked it in to a ball shape. I've tried doing the cylinder type shape that is widely demonstrated on this site but find it a lot easier to bake a pris in to a ball like the Swedish guy showed me. Does anyone else go with the sphere over loaf/cylinder shaped pris?

When I handbake, I shape my pris' like an American football. Larger in the middle, and tapering to each end.

I do little ball shapes wih my pris when I'm not using my icetool. I find the small ball shape is the best when using my lower lip.

I always make cylinders, unless im using something like gotlands, then I do balls to keep it simple. Gotlands is not hand-bake friendly

I use a ball for work some times. It doesn't seem to get as messy when you're talking that way.
A ball is a nice base for baking too. Bake it into a ball, then into a cylinder. It hold's togeather like glue that way, but it's too tight for a quick rush.

When I make a firm prilla I try to make it like it comes out of my mouth later, no matter what shape I put in (including a sphere), which is a long fan shape, thicker in the middle and tapering to the edges. Usually about 3/4 of an inch, or 2 cm long. This involves making a rectangular pillow shape, then rounding the top corners down. I figure that if my lip likes this shape I should make it that shape. That way I have to fuss with it less. It works for me.

Chewing is definitely not a new way of enjoying tobacco - it is a rather old tradition - but the new, modern Nordic Chew is more like snus than traditional chewing tobacco. It looks the same way as Swedish snus and comes in loose form or in portions. ...
