Skruf Stark Portion Now 22g Snus/24 Portions Per Tin

Just noticed my latest batch of Skruf Stark portion says 24 Portions on the tin but 22g snus on the bottom. Thought the bags were looking a little emptier than usual and so they did go ahead with their plans.

The portions are moist and tasty and have a nice buzz but, maybe it's just me, but I don't find them quite as satisfying. Not sure if it's as simple as less snus less nic or maybe just that the portions aren't packed as much.

I'm looking forward to my order of General Stark Long which I should get sometime next week. Although they're also .91g snus per portion SM are saying the nic content is still 14mg. Not sure if it's the same setup as with the emptier Skruf Stark portions. Interested if anyone knows anymore.

Yeah, skruf was looking to do that. I don't particularly like their portions but their Los is pretty damn good.

General long is just that a long portion. If you wanted 1g it might be closer gorge new camel snus portions, which is hella uncomfortable.

I'm sure all the companies will follow suit and drop lös down to 40g per can with some bullshit excuse like "oh our consumers prefer to purchase less at once!" while charging the same price. Hell, lös cans were 50g each just 4 years ago.

Seriously? That's weak. Snus is supposed to be in 50g tins. 45g was already a ripoff, and now they're taking more. You guys see what's happening, right? They're slowly shrinking the containers, so people won't notice. There would be a revolt if it all disappeared at once, so they're taking the snus a few grams at a time. Gotland and Gellivare are still in proper 50g tins, and their snus is premium quality. Skruf who? :^D

Looks like they've taken a page from the playbooks of American manufacturers.

Product Shrink is now the norm from cereals to ice cream to toothpaste to...... everything!!

Skuf was good like two or three years ago.

I'm done with them. The name was sold. Too bad the quality and integrity wasn't part of the deal.

Yup; it's a load of crap. When's the last time you saw a 1# can of coffee? The last one I remember was Luzianne, and that was quite awhile ago. I'd rather pay the extra money, and get the appropriate amount of product instead of having the companies trying to screw me. The "improved" sizes all look very close to what they should be, so someone who doesn't read labels will assume it's what it always was. Now everybody should read labels, but by the same token, companies shouldn't be actively trying to deceive their customers. Is that REALLY what a business relationship should be like?

I just looked it up and I gotta give Gotlands thumbs-up for keeping lös at 50g. Shame on everyone else (especially Skruf)!

Have to agree with Bakerbarber on this one. What with the quality issues that have been around for a while now and the now putting less snus in each portion that was the last straw for me. I'm out.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the move from 50 grams to 45 grams had something to do with the way snus was taxed, the move to 43 grams doesn't make sense except cost cutting.

That's OK Skruf, I can do some cost cutting of my own by switching to a V2 product.

This is seriously sad. I like some skruf and I have some in stock, but I don't know if I'll purchase any more.. :/

Also, if you guys didn't know there is some lös with only 40g and it's a V2 product.
Offroad Long Cut Snus (all flavors) is at 40g of snus, but it seriously looks, feels, and lasts like it's a lot more. I also don't believe that they can fit any more than that in the traditional v2 tin, it's jam packed. lol
