I'm still confused.. For that price how many cans are in there?

1 can consisting of 100g of loose snus (to put that in perspective most regular cans of loose snus are 45g).

I should correct what I said to read that Buysnus.com hasn't shipped my order of Kardus then. Perhaps you were quicker than I in pre-ordering.

A friend of mine pre-ordered with Northerner and his was shipped yesterday too.

could be. I happened to be browsing the site when it went up so when I refreshed the homepage I saw it so I ordered. I guess it was within minutes of it being up there. Ha! I should have it by the weekend if my luck is as good as what I read on here. There's a roll of the new General Long in there too.

Ok. The Kardus 2010 came in yesterday.

I got home from work to find the package on my desk. My wife signed for it and I couldn't wait to tear into it. There was no stickers on the box and it was packed well and protected w/ bubble wrap. The wooden box was tied with an oiled twine that held the book in place and added a nice finishing touch to the parcel. The book was in English but it wasn't really anything that I hadn't read online already. I read it as I took my first prilla. I took off the wood lid and found a nice, tight-fitting plastic can inside. Lifting the lid I was greeted to a very dark, coarse tobacco. It's definitely a long cut here which I thought would be hard on the gums. The aroma was strong and filled the immediate area with tobacco and arrack. A tool would be pretty useless with this cut I'd surmise so I pinched it out with my fingers. I was sure to take about a gram and it sort of formed into a pris. This snus lends itself to more of a hillbilly type pinch but being that it's a long cut it holds its place well. Mudslide would not happen with this, ever. So I made a medium pack and placed the pris.

Quite salty initially but that quickly gave way to the wonders of this snus. Rich, is the word that I would use. Deep is another one. The flavors are distinct and all very complimentary. The arrack is the predominant flavor and ads a nice sweetness to the mixture but not too much. It's enough to bring out the tobacco and counter the salt. There's a good aroma with this snus while it's in too. Very earthy and wood-like. I get a wood taste too but not oak or cedar. I've never sucked on wood, but I work with cabinets all the time so if I had to guess I'd pick a hardwood like maple or something. It's not a juicy snus, but you'll find it difficult not to wet it and suck out the juices. I did this over and over washing my mouth with it's dark goodness. A stray piece of tobacco found its way between my molars and I instinctively bit down on it. It crushed the tobacco strand and released a bitter taste. I attribute this to the quality of tobacco though it's definitely not something I'd recommend chewing on. I kept the pris in for over an hour and after the one-hour mark the richness began to fade. Too long with this, and the flavor will turn to just okay. The bitterness comes out in the end which isn't entirely bad, but it is a contrast to the richness that preceded it.

On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 9+. it's elegant rather than robust. The tobacco is soft and not hard on the gums whatsoever. The flavor lingers well after the pris is removed. Good stuff. Very good stuff.

Edit: There's also a tart element in there. Not exactly sour or anything that might make you pucker but a little vibrant zing. I forgot to mention that it does have a slight burn but that doesn't last long. No burn lasts long anymore but at least this is noticeable when you take it. Nicotine is average. 8mg or less. I've read that it's slightly less but I don't think I could detect the difference between 6mg and 8mg

I got mine yesterday also. Holy Crap they package it well! A bag in a bag in a bag in bubble wrap. Really great looking box and the snus inside taste like something totally off the norm. The cut reminds me of the Offroad Red but it is much softer and holds together infinitely better than the aforementioned. A good bold taste that lasts like others said well over an hour. I only took it out at that point for dinner! Not a daily snus for sure but thats why it costs more. It will be my afterwork snus for a good while. I just kind of did a hillbilly/prilla and got a ton of flavor out of it. You don't want to use an icetool on this as you won't get the flavor out of with it being packed tightly. Thumbs up in my book.
