From trying Copenhagen years ago I already had a good idea of what General was going to taste like.
It was really not even a surprise.

General is a different animal of course but if you have tried the Cope from years back then general should not be that big of a surprise.

I did not hate General at first but the flavor was certainly eye-opening and a bit shocking to my American trained taste buds. Like it now well enough now though. The amount of research I did about various flavors did help me to be prepared for very culturally different "traditional" snus tastes but it still took a bit of acclimating before a comfort level set in. As they say: "Endeavor to persevere."

I might have a Roda or 2 every day, but other than that I'm mainly into the mint or flavored snus myself, as in Offroad and Thunder Frosted, Gen Mini Mints and Wintergreen, with Coffee/Vanilla and the Discreet Fruit Flavored snus to round it out. I can handle an "unflavored" snus, but I'd rather not when the others still taste so much better to me.

I like em all. I even pack 2 to 3 at a time of different ones to get a blend however, this is not something you want to try right off the bat, you have to work up to it kinda like yoddelling.

Snus, in my opinion, is a very acquired taste. Just like coffee and beer. Not many people are like "HOLY SHIT! THIS COFFEE IS AMAZING! I WANT THIS EVERYDAY!". Once you snus for a while, you'll really learn to respect tobacco, and learn to really like the unique tastes of certain brands. Try Skruf Original, or Skruf White. To reduce on the saltiness always go with whites, then work your way up. You'll learn certain snus's go well with other things. It will grow on you. Trust me, it will. It takes time man. And a new mindset.

Personally I'm not a fan of flavored snus. I'll occasionally have a Thunder Frosted or Berry or an LD Black, but as soon as those run out I won't need to get them again. I can use nothing but Nick and Johnny strong and be happy. Snuff on the other hand, I'll do 5 or 6 different ones a day.
