Is anybody going to give up snus after the PACT goes into effect?

Just curious if anybody has thought of giving up snus. I personally am working on building a stock of at least 100 cans before June and see how things go after that. If the price of snus gets to be to expensive, I think I might quit altogether after they are gone. Anyone else thought about this?

I have no intention of quitting. It'll be quite awhile before I run out of snus, but I fully expect to buy more once it's gone.

I have bounced around the idea of quitting oral tobacco in general, but I'm unsure at this time. I have a few months worth of snus stocked, so I don't know. I like snus, dip, and chew, but I think it's affecting my gums.

With price increases, I may stop and think before ditching a new can of something I don't like but it would take a HUGE price jump for me to consider quitting.

I am. When my stock runs out (which will be in about 14 months). I quit smoking, I can quit snus. I currently pay 26 for a roll, will have to pay 80 for a roll, in the words of Dana Carvey, "Not gonna do it"

Edit: and I am not exaggerating the price, currently, right now, it's 8 bucks a can here. I don't anticipate it going down after PACT.

I don't plan on quitting as I have about a 3 year supply. When I run out I'll pay more if I have to. My biggest advantage is that I might not live long enough to use it all anyway. If thats the case.......then I'll quit.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

                  I thought about it.

I wanted to quit snus and use nasal snuff exclusively. I don't think I'd be happy, my mouth wouldn't be happy and most certainly, my nose would REALLY be unhappy.

I would have to wait to see how the doomsday effect will be before I'd decide if that would be the case.

I doubt Ill give it up, but depending on the price, I might cut waaaay back on usage, like maybe 2-3 a day at most. Right now I have well over a years supply, so who knows . . .

8 bucks a can? Are you buying it at a local store? That's hella expensive, even dip doesn't cost that here in CA.

I don't plan on it unless it really becomes price prohibitive. It would take a pretty high price to take me away from snus.

From what I've read and been told, tobacco taxes in Washington State are some of the most brutal in the U.S.

Yes that is locally, but that is with our 75% tax. I haven't followed the PACT threads enough to know if that same tax will be charged on the Northerner orders or not. If it is, it will be 80 bucks per roll from them, if not, then I will have to re-evaluate in 14 months.

                            In a word, no.
                            In two words, hell no.

You can leave 'em to me in the will. And if there's any mint in there you should take them with you so you can hand it to Satan directly.
