    General OP vs. General Los

I have to admit, I had only tried a few General portions in the past, I just could never really get into them, I was more of a los fan. Even with General Los, I couldn't get into it, it tasted mainly of 'pepper' to me, it was just gross. But, with SM's big push of General products into the U.S, (yup their advertising worked on me) I decided to try another can of the original portions and had a completely different experience. The taste reminds me of a tart lemon, sort of like a lemonhead candy, with no sugar. All I am getting at here, if General becomes the only product locally available, I have discovered that I can live with this and I now understand why General is such a huge seller. I have been on a quest to find portions to replace my los habit and between General OP and Onyx, which is even more citrusy, I may be set. Thanks for reading, just had to share my excitement of discovering a 'new to me' snus!

If I had to, I could live on General Whites and OP. Of course with a little GR#2 as a treat.

I could live on Skruf and Grov. Hopefully more snus brands become available in the U.S.A. for retail purchase.

Why are you trying to stop using loose? If it's just for the mess and lack of convenience, I understand, but if it's about flavor I'd recommend buying a can of Gen Loose next time you're picking up a can of OP to see what you think. If your taste buds are now taking a liking to the OP, they might like the loose as well. Basically all I use now is general loose with some gen portions mixed in through the day, and to me i find the original portions even more peppery than the loose or whites. Tastes are always different, and if you love the original portions keep using em, but maybe give the loose another try before getting off the loose train entirely

The General Los is continually getting better and better for me. I agree also that OP is more peppery and I dont last long before switching to something else.

I've been a closet loser for the past year, Skruf Stark los, but it was making me not want anything else, which is bad because I like to go out and do things but wasn't really enjoying portions while out and about. So, as far as 'quitting' los completely, I haven't done that, but I've cut way back and am now discovering all these portions that I like but used to dislike. Oh..so the main reason for getting off the los, around my parts, oral tobacco is "unladylike," portions are more discreet.

Within the General line, I like general los extra sterk los flavor best with the regular los coming in a very close second. I also like a can of wintergreen every couple of months or so. I'm not a big fan of the rest.

I do like some other Swedish Match snus like Roda los.

Man, I love me some General. Lös and OP in particular, and whites are good, ESP and ESL rock, Sterk is very good, I like Onyx pretty well... basically, the only Generals I don't care for are dry mint minis and wintergreen, and I sometimes enjoy wintergreen. I haven't tried General Silver or the new regular-size mint. I suppose it's sweetened, like the dry minis? If so, I'm not too interested. But for the most part, I am a fan of General.

If you have a local tobacco shop that sells general, you can probably pick up a free general mint sample pack.

I don't, unfortunately; at least not one I have yet found. But, it's no big deal, really; I'm past the stage of thinking I have to try every snus under the sun. And as I say, it doesn't sound like a snus I really want to try.

Good point, though, for people who do have such shops nearby.

No kidding. I used to try to keep up with everything, but there's too many new snuses getting released, and most aren't my preference anyway. I gave up trying to get everything awhile ago :^D
