What are some comman brands of cigarettes smoked in the U.K?

Marlboro Lights are very popular. Embassy Number 1, Mayfair Lights. John Player Special. Benson and Hedges.


You can get American Cigs from good tobacco stores. I used to smoke Marlboro reds in the soft pack and American Spirit.

Over year without a cigarette now though.

I used to mainly smoke Golden Virginia hand rolling tobacco - although I've also been a bit of a Marlboro (reds, then lights) fiend - but hand rolling where I started off from and then wet back to.

I'd also smoke American Spirit hand rolling tobacco when I could get it (Oddbins only at first, then Sainsburys), but it was always a bit too dry by the time it got to the UK - and is never stocked in Airport duty free stores.

Anyway - 3 months free now, and no inclination to go back!
