If you mean dry nasal snuff, then there is no Swedish snuff, apart from the one Gajane makes, but I think they have an English company make them.

I don't think dry American scotch snuff, used nasally, is any "worse" than the Euro-Asian nasal snuffs.

Yea, nasal snuff. Most of the varieties outside of the US seem to be of Euro/UK & India, some Africa from my experience. At least those are the ones I am most familiar with. The American nasal snuff(s) while noted for their generally higher nicotine contents (but not always the case), I don't believe are deemed any more dangerous in the way of carcinogens but I could be wrong. So with that said, I don't believe the same consensus holds as per comparing Swedish Snus to American Dip tobaccos and due to they way they are produced differently. From my following the topic of nasal snuff, it in general seems to be the potentially "less harmful" tobacco product.

There is a lot of good information in there and feel free to tag on your questions at the end. It proved very helpful and informative to me several months back when I dived into nasal snuff. More folks will see your questions there and be quicker to answer. :wink:

To expand on what LaZer said, American dip is called snuff too, which can add confusion to the mix. Generally anyone here means dry snuff when talking about snuff, but you have to interpret the intent when reading elsewhere due to the usage differences.

Good point and I should have caught that myself and clarified, now I feel ops: . Hell I used to dip Copenhagen Snuff (definitely an oral tobacco). I would cringe at the thought of putting that up my nose.

I try to say nasal, or oral, or dry and moist, because technically, it's all snuff, and snus is Swedish for snuff.

Thanks for all the info on Thunder Berry Blend guys lol. It sounds nasty but I have a can on the way to see for myself. As for snuff, I've only ordered 2 tins of Toque and took a little McCrystals Hoepffen (sp?) from a box pass that I particularly like, but I screw around with it so infrequently I feel like what I have will last a lifetime. It might be because my nose was kicked into pieces 10 years ago and my septum is about as straight as a man in assless chaps, but I just don't enjoy it much -- as soon as it's in my nose I just want to blow it out. It's hard to understand for me how people use it comfortably and just let it sit there, and it clogs me up something real bad. For whatever reason it just didn't take with me like it has for so many here, but I'll still keep some around. I'd be interested in another open-can snus and snuff boxpass so I could try a bunch of flavors that I would never buy because for my usage I don't see how I would ever use even 1 full tin of 1 kind.
