Thunder Berry Blend - My new favorite

I got my first can of the new Thunder Berry Blend the other way and WOW I love this stuff. The berry flavor is very nice and the nic hit is HUGE - it hits even harder than Thunder Frosted and Nick & Johnny.

As someone who is using snus to not smoke any more, the big nic hit is a huge help.

I've found my new every day favorite snus.

I agree. This is some good snus. Funny for me though I don't get quite the nic hit I did from frosted but to be fair I've been on a pretty steady diet of ES's for weeks now and have not had the Frosted outside of some mini's for about that same time.

I get no artificial taste in this whatsoever and it has a 'just right' amount of sweetness via the berry blend.

With that said I do believe this could be another Love/Hate snus. You will either really dig it or really despise it as can be noted in the various posts from others so far.

PS: I've just ordered a 5ct from GetSnus reluctantly as I'm pissed at the inconsistent pouches (some half empty), although I can't live without this atm. ops:

        I hate it.

It gives me heartburn and the flavor go's sour/bitter in 10-15 min for me. For berry flavor I really enjoy Skruf Tranbar better. The flavor seems to last way longer as well.

I have a partial can of TB and I will probably never use it, instead throw it in the current Hell Box.

I think it's a good snus, but it still has to grow on me.

I've only taken a few portions so far and found that it's got the massive nicotine that other Thunder has. It's berry flavor is much stronger than Skruf and sweeter too. Skruf seems to be drier to me too so maybe the juices are throwing me off.

Now, I don't like Skruf Tranbar. I think I'd enjoy this Thunder berry if it weren't so strong in nic. I can only do one or two of this type per day and moreso in the morning, early afternoon. I'll keep trying though.

I've got a can of Thunder Berry in my freezer, thinking of trying it for my next portion review. It's weird though, I'm liking my can of General ES I'm currently working on, but (I guess 'cause I'm used to dipping Grizzly) the nic hit's never come on that strong with the ES for me. I know it's there, but it hasn't really knocked me for a loop or anything. The Thunder might be a different story though, since it's got more nicotine per portion. I'll let y'all know when I start on the Thunder Berry.

I bought a 5 can roll of Berry and am on my 1st can. 1st impressions are, I love the smell of it in the can more than any other snus. It, along with Frost are 2 of the strongest flavored snus in my opinion (out of what I have tried), and a good flavor at that. My one complaint about the Berry is that after 45 - 60 minutes they get really bitter for me. I wish each berry portion did not have to end that way. But I love me my strong Thunder brand. And Frost is still my fav snus of them all so far.

Try waiting them out to about the 90 minute mark and report back. I find they come back around in a much more subdued and balanced blend of berries after this stage. I generally can make this a 2+ hr snus for the flavor alone. I just start tooting some snuff after the 1st hour for my nicotine demands.

Ugh, my only problem with that is that the bitterness is such that I don't want it in my mouth anymore and would rather spit it out and pop a new one in.

I keep reading about the snuff. I think I want to avoid that. Don't see myself sniffing my nicotene, and I don't want to bring back painful unwanted memories of another addiction I had as a youngster. LOL. But, what are the health risks associated with snuff? Along the lines of snus risk, or more along the lines of cigs/dip/chew risks?

I'd say snuff is safer than snus. Not as much nicotine, but it's a nice addition to snus.

That and its a quicker hitter regarding the nicotine. BAM and it's gone. The tasting of all the different scents along with the clearing effects in my case is what makes nasal snuff most enjoyable. But yea if you need a temporary BLAST of nicotine more like what you are used to via a cig, then snuff wins out.

I guess technically speaking the jury is still out on nasal snuff's safeness as it hasn't been studied nearly to the degree cigarettes and other smokeless tobaccos have, although with that said there appears to be very little if any clear documentation pointing to any serious health effects. Probably making it the lesser of evils in all tobaccos.

Snuff was still pretty common into the 19th century, and I'd think I would have turned up /something/ in my searches. There's some ethnic snuffs that are harmful, but I think it's mainly due to added ingredients. The one report I've seen is from the 18th century, and the details are pretty sparse. I've even read that the guy making the report wasn't even a doctor, he was a satirist. I don't know either way, but I think it can be safely discarded given the lacking documentation.

Would American snuff be potentially more dangerous, or not as good as Swedish snuff, kind of like the American Camel Snus compared to Swedish Snus?

If you mean dry nasal snuff, then there is no Swedish snuff, apart from the one Gajane makes, but I think they have an English company make them.

I don't think dry American scotch snuff, used nasally, is any "worse" than the Euro-Asian nasal snuffs.
