    Metropol Peppermint Vit

This is some really good stuff, it has a great flavor. Thanks to the generosity of a fellow member who stores their snus really well, this stuff has kept really well and has a great flavor. I wish they would have kept it around. Why did they take this off the market? A good full size mint snus like this would do really well.

I loved everything about it. From the art deco tin, to the flavor. They made a licorice also(tasted similar to Catch), and a cactus!? flavor which was gone before my time. There's been a lot of interesting brands that I think would do well with the Americans if they just could have held out a bit longer.

Brands come and go too quickly imo. I'm no marketing guru, especially with regards to Sweden, but I don't think they give the brands enough of a chance to take off. If they're expecting immediate market success. they're barking up the wrong tree. You have to be willing to deal with a few years of poor sales before you know if a product is going to take wings. It's damned few items that that take off immediately, especially when you're dealing with something as personal as tobacco choice.

The Swedish market isn't fond of flavored snus. The vast majority of the market is composed of traditional flavors. It's no surprise that General, Ettan, and Grov are the three best-selling brands in Scandinavia. In my opinion, selling a mint-flavored snus in Sweden is economic suicide.

As of 2004 Catch had 8% of the market. That's only 2% behind Göteborg Rapé. I'd be willing to bet those numbers have increased since then with more women snusing...

What kind of BS is this Chad? You can't be reviewing discontinued snus! I need you to be up to date, not out of date!

Haha, you won't see a review for it on my website.

But I love this stuff, it's really good. I may have to pack a bag and send it to you, since I know you and I both love Triumph. This stuff is just as good.
