Holy Crap! Is Ettan los good or what?!

Granted, I'm new to los and have only tried a few so far, but, DAMN!
Ettan is blowin' my mind its so good. I didn't know what I was missing all those months with portions. Grov is good, General is good, but this Ettan is like crack rock.

Interesting. You know, I have not tried los yet. I have stuck strictly to portions. Beside the obvious, what is the difference between los and portions in flavor and longevity?

Also, PrisMaster, Ice Tool, or hand baking? If I were going to try for the first time, which should I do?

Thanks... and Happy New Year snusies!!!

there is considerable variation b/t portions and los. I prefer hand baking, myself, as it allows me to use exactly the intended amount in the desired shape. Ettan Los is by far my favorite snus, unfortunately i'm completely out and will not order anymore until I get through my current stash

        Hey CG,
I'm no expert, but I've developed some opinions. For the most part, portions are more flavorful than loose. Original more so than whites.
But the flavor of portions doesn't last as long as loose. Loose snus is a more intimate, natural thing. Loose feels comfortable, the pris takes a comfortable shape.
In my experience, loose snus of any particular brand, tastes really different from the portion of the the same brand.
As far as method, I've used a prismaster, but I'm finding that hillbilly or handbaking is much more satisfying, to me. The tools tend to pack too tightly and consequently reduce the flavor intensity.

But you'll find your own comfort zone.

I like the tools, but the Icetool keeps catching a whisker or eight from my moustache, and then I jerk it away. End result, hurt upper lip and a prilla split in half. I just hand bake now. I find lös more temperamental. Sometimes I bake one, and it'll last three hours and still be holding up nicely. Sometimes they slide within 30 minutes. Still excepting brands which only come in portions, I prefer lös, and only go portion when I simply can't have some snus running down my teeth.

Ettan lös is the goods, I'll tell you what. Their portions are okay but the lös is phenomenal

Aside from that I don't think anyone is forcing you to use whatever brand someone else likes.

Of course it definitely worth to give it a try. But its not like I'm stuffing the snus down your throat. Use what you like.
