Ihad to go and try some los

So i got my first los today. I added a can of Odens Kanel ES to my last order thinking that it is about time i tried some los. My order arrived today and my bonus can was Gotlands Grey los, now that was a bonus instead of getting mini mint
I got straight into the gotlands, and i have to say ... this whole los deal isn't too bad. I rusteld up a homemade prismaster from an old ecig syringe, guessed at around 1 ml and wow, it worked. Loaded it up, pushed it against my thumb a little and popped it right in. It stayed there for probably an hour, no slides, good flavor and texture and a nice little nic hit. All in all a good first try. Since then i have handbaked twice more tonight with the gotlands. Saving the Odens for tomorrow morning

Now the only problem is i'm going to have to try the all the los versions of my favorite portions i have had so far. And probably some i haven't. Just when i was thinking i had narrowed things down to a possible top 5 i have a whole new world of snus to explore.

I was the same way, and the other problem (?) is suddenly having a year worth of portions in your freezer after you decide you like lös better.

In a way i guess i'm lucky since i don't have the funds to stock up too much.
I'm into day two of experimenting with los and i'm still enjoying it. I have managed to handbake a couple of times but I prefer the homemade pris tool. I can't see me going over 100% to los but i will stick with it for a while and try out some other brands.
On the "to try" list are Thunder frosted, Ettans, Skruf stark, Grov and maybe some General ES. These are my favorite poritions so far so i'll stick with what i know to begin with.

If anybody has any other recommendations feel free to chime in

So i'm a few days in with using los. have to say i'm liking it more. My handbaking skills are getting better, i even managed to bake a pris of the Got Grey and had that in for almost 2 hours last night. Haven't had a monumental slide yet, but i do get little bits breaking loose quite often.

Since the only los i have right now is Odens Kanel ES and Got Grey, this morning i orderd the los sampler from Getsnus. Figured 5 cans and a prismaster for $14 is a good deal to me (add in the bonus can too). 4 of the 5 cans are ones i want to try, and one of them is Got Yellow so i can try out Monkey's recommendation. I'm intrigued to try the Offroad los too.

Will let people know how this all works out later!!

I second this. It's my favorite snus, bar none. If you like lös, you should try all the varieties in lös form. Many are significantly different from their portion counterparts. I don't know how you feel about V2 portions, but I hate them. Their lös OTOH ranges from tolerable to excellent, and they have a couple of favorites of mine(Phantom Brown, Offroad Licorice).

I will third it. It's a wonderful snus. It seems to be one people really like or really dislike, but if you like it, you will probably be very glad you tried it.

As the portions go, I'd rather have Jakobsson's Classic than the Gotlands, but not by a wide margin. Gotlands Classic Lös is in a class by itself, though.

I plan to try a lot of los now. As for V2, i can do the portions but only if i have nothing else. I find the portion material to be irritating and scratchy and it detracts from the snus itself.

The los sample pack i ordered has a can Offroad Orignal, and i do want to try a can of Offroad Licorice. I have been reading some good things about the Phantom los also, both the brown and blue so they are on the to try list as well.

So much snus and only 24 hours in a day and limited amount of $s in the wallett

                  Update time

So my los sampler finally got here on Monday. Since then i have pretty much been using 98% los. As a real bonus my mystery can was a can of wait for it ................... Ettan LOS . That was on my list to try next and i almost added one but held off.
Anways i like all of them, yes i have opened all 6 cans, couldn't help myself.
One surprise though, my favorite is the General, that was the last one i tried and OMG that is some damn good snus. I'm prefering Grov over Ettan, (another surprise), trying to save the Skruf stark, IMO the los is better than the portion. The got yellow, all i can think of is sublime. I even enjoyed the one pris of offroad.
As for the prismaster, it does it's job ok for what it is.

In summary, to anyone thinking of trying los i recommend the sampler from getsnus at $14.00 for 5 cans and a prismaster. Well worth it in my book.

No my friend, that's just when you send all your unloved portions to me. Portions should always go to home where they will be well loved. And no one loves a portion more than me!!

Sage, thanks for the offer, i know they would be well appreciated, but sorry i'm going to hang on to mine
The portions come in very handy when i have to go to the boy's high school sports stuff. Can't really sit in the gym and bake up a pris but can slip in a portion and no one is any the wiser

If i ever get to the point of giving them away i will certainly let you know :P

I am still afraid to try los, I play with my portions with my tongue constantly and am afraid los would break all over.

You are money with Grov, General (original or ES), or Ettan. Skruf Stark is good too.

Funny, i was exactly the same, i would move my portions all over the place, keep sucking on them etc. Then curiosity got the better of me.

I started losing at home, that went ok, had some slip and break up when putting under my lip, had problems handbaking, made a homemade pris tool. That really helped to get the pris under my lip in one peice. I learnt that i should of started out with a smaller pris then worked up gradually. Yes i do get bits break off, sometimes i'll spit them out but mostly now i'll eat them, they are tasty lil snacks . IMO the flavors are defintiely better. I have once or twice forgot i had los in and went to move it around and raked a big lump off. No bother, either swallow or spit. Quick little rinse and carry on. I am lucky at work becasue 3 other guys chew at their desks so i can use los witt no problems. The boss is happy that i'm not going out for smoke every 45 minutes or so.

When and if you feel like giving it a try there are plenty of people here to get you going and offer good advice.
One las tthing that really got me to try los was that portions you get 24grams to an average can, los you get 45 to 50 grams per can for the same cost.
What ever way you go .......... keep on snussing.

Yep, i'm loving all of them, especially the General original. Of the 6 cans i got in the sampler i would rate them in order, Gen, Skruf stark, Grov, Ettan, Got Yellow then Offroad original.
Gotta get some Gen ES in next order, along with some Thunder frosted.
