So I have no snus at all, my mail is late and the post office won't work for the next 3 days. So, no snus for at least 4 days? I don't think so!

Since I keep all of my empty snus boxes, and sometimes I forget to empty the "recycle" compartment of the box, I browsed through all the "empty" boxes and found a few used snuses. I gathered them in one box and will be using them till I receive the next package. They're a bit dry and a bit disgusting, but **** it, I'm in no mood to be without nicotine and I don't want to smoke.

So what do you think? Is it disgusting? Unhealthy? Worthy of standing ovation?

I'd lay them on a plate and give them a few sprays of water, and then put them in a can, but really, no, they are used up, the juice, and I'd think the nic would out of them. If you really need some baccy, get a can of Camel snus, or dip. I like to dip the dry Scotch Snuffs. That's what I'd do, if I couldn't, or didn't want to wait 4 days or so. But for future reference, don't get so far behind. When you are down to 5 cans, order some more. Maybe a local shop near you has Tourney snus, it's not "bad".

But your hearing that from someone who desperately took strangers cigarette butts and 1/2-3/4 still full from gas station ash trays outside, like someone homeless man when my financial crisis was at its peak long ago.

Is it so hard to just go down and get some of that Camel snus? Or a can of skoal/cope/whatever? Using the excuse "Its disgusting" really isn't something you can use when your searching for ABS Snus (Already Been Snus, I"M FREAKIN TRYIN' HERE!!!) THat have collected into that slimey and icky mass inside your catch lid.

Copenhagen(this would be a test, I haven't had it in years)
Levi Garrett leaf chew tied with Camel snus. The chew would be for enjoyment, and the Camel for discretion.

When i've ran out before for various reasons i just headto the local gas staion and see what they have in stock. I don't do dip so that is out, i can get stonewalls here and they can do the trick for a few days.
I was a fairly heavy smoker and still enjoy a smoke every once in a while so I am quite happy to buy a pack of smokes or swishers, then mix it up with some stonewalls. If i really didn't want to smoke i would, and have bought some camel snus.

I definitely wouldn't try some old used snus portions.

If you post where you are maybe some one may be close enough to spot you a can.

People. I live in Croatia and there is no snus and no dip, not a can, in the whole country AFAIK. Do you really think I'd resort to this if I could go and buy something?

So there's no alternative. And most of those snuses are not completely used, the ones I put in the small compartment are usually the ones I used for no more than 10 minutes, but didn't feel like snusing and got them back.

What I'm thinking is... They've been under my lip for some time... gathered bacteria... and then they're back in the plastic can for a month or two... Do you think using them again could be unhygienic?

Oh and I don't get where you see "pride" in my post...? It's what it says in the title - I'm desperate and there's no way I can get snus in next 4 days or so..

Oh and I posted 2 days ago, asking for someone from Croatia to lend me a hand or help me locate some snus. I know there used to be at least one croatian guy on the forum. But no luck.

If I were to use used portions I think I'd try wetting them down with pure grain alcohol(Everclear in the USA) to help kill potential bacteria. You could then let them dry, and finish it with a salt bath. That would give it some salty flavor... I don't know... Maybe just check for obvious mold, and if there isn't any go ahead and use it. It's unlikely there would be anything there that would be especially harmful.

I think it is it disgusting, unhealthy, & certainly worthy of standing ovation... I would probably buy cigarettes and unroll & dip the tobacco or something.

EDIT: If your in a country with barely no tobacco, you should have been well aware of the fact that sometimes the mail will not be Johny on the spot. Instead of finding alternatives I think you should sit there for the next 5 days and think about what you did, or didn't do rather. Order early, often, and.... and.... Early and often!

Kum, didn't realise that is where you are, and yeah that would suck. I think in your situation i would consider what you are considering.

Ya know, thinking about it... Buying cigarettes, then grinding the tobacco to make nasal snuff would be the direction I'd go If I had your resources at my disposal(assuming I didn't want to smoke). That might be something to think about. You could put the tobacco in a pan, then gently roast it over a fire. That should give it a nice toasty scent.
