Best Snus w/ a Beer?

I am contemplating having a beer soon and wondered if anyone could let me know what kind of snus they like best with a light beer?

My favorite combination is Stella and N&J Strong. I would consider Stella a light beer.

Great Lakes Christmas Ale and Oden's Kanel is really good too. Although I don't think you can get the Great Lakes outside of Ohio.

That's a hard question.

The best answer is: Any snus that is Swedish.

I'm assuming you're using portions. Grov, General, Skruf, Roda Lacket, Ettan, etc., would all go well with a light beer. Most people need more nicotine when drinking so a stronger snus might fit the bill. Onyx goes well with beers that do well with citrus. I've had Grov Svart with a pilsner, but it goes really well with an oatmeal stout. I think Gotland's Yellow goes well with lighter beer.

I had a couple of raspberry beers that went well with Skruf tranbar. Nick and Johnny goes with just about any beer. I like Knox with lagers. Loose with beer is the best. Kardus with a premium beer can't be beat.

The best thing is to know the beer your drinking and the flavor profile of the snus and you'll just instinctively know what type of beer to get, or what type of snus to use with certain beers. Let us know what you choose and how you like it.

I've found I like Gul los with an IPA. I would think it would also go well with a wheat beer or Hefeweizen.

Grov and Ettan seem to go well with damn near any beverage. General goes well with most brews as well.

Basically, Christi, any non-fruity, non-minty snus should go well with most beers.

You see I would have said that the best snus to go with a light beer is any snus that tastes like a real beer.

But then again what do I know.... I'm more of a bourbon hound myself :wink:

I did General Original portion w/ my light beer. Yeah I drink light simply because I am watching my womanly figure It was pretty good. I have to say that I drank too many light beers last night so I should have just had a dark ale anyway![/quote]

From my experience nothing can beat a Goteborgs Rape and a good IPA. If your'e drinking mass quantities of swill, I would go with Skruf, Grov, or General.
