    Brown/Original Portion Moistness Poll

Ok, I'm noticing that the moistness of brown/original portions that I order seems to vary quite a bit between..
    1) Dry, little taste, little nicotine release
    2) Medium moist, medium taste, medium nicotine release
    3) Moist, strong taste, robust nicotine release.

Would be interested in what moistness other brown/original portions users usually find.

    Mine are usually dry.

I prefer them to be medium. Too moist and they run too much.

I don't care for whites, so when my original portions are dry it irritates me.

It varies every other can with all brands it seems.

    Goldilocks would hate snus. lol

I chalk up a lot of my dryer cans to being frozen for long periods of time. Yet I have opened cans right out of the mail that were on the dry side too.

I prefer them to be dripping wet.

Of late I'm finding a lot of Skruf Stark portion dry. On the last 2 roles I ordered the 1st few cans of the 1st role were great and moist, the next couple of cans medium and the rest of that role and the next roll dry. Ordered another batch by UPS next day and when they came they were all dry too. Gutted and looking around for a more consistent brand.

As barkerbarber said it it does seem to vary can to can, brand to brand. I found it with some V2 I had, 2 tins of Thunder Throsted 1 tin moist and great the other medium moist bordering dry not so great, 1 tin of Thunder blue moist and great (although not a fan of a flavour of that 1), 1 tin of Oden's Original dry.

I remember General Original varying too.

I wish it was possible to make the moistness more consistent during the manufacturing process.

I just know if I open a can and the snus is dark, moist and has a stong aroma I'm going to enjoy it, if it's medium it will be ok, but if dry that I'm not going to enjoy it.

All the Grov portion I've had has been very moist. Gotland seems to be consistently medium, but it drys out quickly in the fridge.

            Me too.

            Oh, the snus.

            I like white portions (preference)

But, when it comes to original portions I like it in the middle. Not to juicy to where it drips immediately, but just in the middle is fine.

I prefer Whites, but most original I do use are medium moist. Except for Thunder Frosted. Those are dripping wet.

                LX,

Thanks for the tip on Grov. I remember trying them a couple of years ago and they were quite dry but maybe they have changed and have been consistently moist for a while? If they have I will certainly revisit them. As Tom502 said personally I prefer my brown portions to be 'dripping wet' but can appreciate this wouldn't be everyone's wish.

                Veganpunk,

Thanks for the tip on Thunder Frosted. I'm undecided on those as one can was really moist but the other was medium to dry but I may try another can at some point.

I haven't bought Grov portions in over a year, but all the ones I had were very wet. I don't know if that's changed recently or not. I seem to remember Lucky Strike being on the wet side, but it's been awhile since I've had any, and I haven't had them in the new tin at all.

If you don't like dry you should stay away from 02.
Also, I noticed that Thunder Originals have become very dry recently, but not the flavored Thunders.
Skruf Stark always struck me as half-white, half-brown, while Skruf Stark White is a cardboard edition white.

Maybe you should try a maxi portion (haven't had any, but assume that they are wetter than the rest).
